I will never eat here again - I was very disapointed and for several reasons.
The restaurant looked nice enough and I love places with outdoor patios. It wasn't exactly "romantic" but it was close. The heat lamps were a nice touch. When I first saw the menu I thought "Great Selection- looks like they have good food here" but I turned out to be wrong..
Now for the "cons"
1 - The selection was awful, as was the service. I asked for 3 different (common) drinks before they had one I liked. I don't drink soda so every restaurant I go to I get an Iced Tea. I have never seen a restaurant that doesn't have Iced Tea - and I eat out alot. First I asked for Raspberry Iced Tea which they have at almost every restaurant. They didn't have it so I ordered an orange juice. 5 Minutes later I was informed they didn't have any orange juice either. So I asked for a regular Iced Tea only to be told they only had Passion Fruit. I ended up getting a $3 half-glass of apple juice.
This may seem picky but I don't like restaurants that don't have common things, or are out of things. I ordered a pizza and a cheese quesidilla. They brought me a chicken quesidilla. I had to flag them down again and tell them I had ordered a cheese one. They said ok and they left. 5 minutes later they send someone else to tell us they didn't have cheese even though it was right on the menu. They then told us they couldn't give it to us because it was on the Kid's Menu. I've never been told I couldn't get someting off of the Kid's Menu - most places don't have a problem with it. But when my fiance offered to pay full price for the Kid's size cheese quesidilla they said yes. I did not accept this offer, I did not want to pay $10 for a tiny tortilla and cheese.
2 - The food was terrible and over-priced. The pizza was incredibly thin, small, and very burnt. It was the worst pizza I had ever eaten. And it was $12. The bottom of the plate was filled with blackish-green burnt grease. EW. The French Fries were under-cooked. The bill was around $40 and I felt very cheated. I did not eat good at all.
3 - The waitress was not very attentive at all. We had a show to get to and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for her to walk by so we could get the bill. She never once checked on us for a refill or to see if everything was ok. My husband likes to get alot of refills - often at least 3 or 4.
We had to wait and flag her down every time. This is very important to me and gets on my nerves when I get bad service. At my favorite restaurant (Bennigans - see my other review) they are very attentive and check on you often - even when they are busy.

WOW.. what a small world! I graduated from there in 2004. I finished my whole senior year in 2 months. I wanted to finish up high school because I hated it .. I was always an outcast and I wanted to come out to California where my boyfriend lived..
Anyway.. After doing a few weeks of researching different places - I decided on Texas Tech and I highly reccomend it. They had the courses to meet all the requirements I had remaining for a high school degree - even P.E. ! I had to learn soo much about tennis and bowling that now I hate them! I also took English and Economics.. I keep thinking there was one more class but maybe not.. For each class I had an instructor who would email me assignments and I could take as long a time or as quickly as I wanted. At the end of the course you go to a local school or library to take a proctored final exam. I believe you had to get a 70 to pass but it may have been a 90. I graduated after less than 2 months and received a real diploma and everything.. I even got invited to a graduation ceremony but wasn't able to make it back to Texas.
And it was much more affordable than the Briarwood School would be! LoL
This was all during the summer and I have to say that they were VERY flexible with my needs and it was always easy to get a hold of someone in the office if my Dad had a question ..
PS - If for whatever you reason you do decide to go back to public school I would highly suggest the Cy-Fair school district.. It's one of the best in Texas.. I personally went to Langham Creek high school which I belive was on .. 529 ? It's been 2 years since I left Houston sorry.. It was an AWESOME school just not the right one for me.. Looking back now I do miss it..

I have had no problem finding excellent jobs with this on my resume - it has no stigma like a GED or some other method would have.. In fact it usually works as an asset that I finished in 2 months .. I am very glad that I chose Texas Tech and highly reccomend their K-12 distance learning program..
If you have any more questions please feel free to message me or email me..

I can only really speak about the buffet.. I did not stay here or gamble here, but it looked pretty empty.. I did NOT like the crowd here... I am not sure if they are locals or tourists but my group got stared at by almost everyone in the restaurant.. I am white and my fiance is Mexican, and our friends were Filipino.. We were getting so many stares and people were whispering.. I found this unbelivable.. we never encounter this in Los Angeles.. that was a bit painful to deal with .. The buffet itself was mediocre -- not good, but not bad either.. Waitresses looked like they came out of a 50s truckers diner..

Terribles really IS terrible.. They should have really named it something else.. It is fairly new and it started off with good potential.. Everything was new, clean, and CHEAP.. they have rooms for about $40 for 2 nights special.. and the gambling and buffets are CHEAP.. but the saying is true- you get what you pay for.. I've heard the gambling is AWFUL.. and all I saw was old ladies playing slots.. The buffet was.. TERRIBLE and so was the service.. very rude and the food was BAD.. I haven't personally seen the hotel rooms but I've heard they got very run-down and dirty very fast.. Probably too many drunk college kids took advantage of the cheap rates and messed up the rooms.. But if you are looking for the CHEAPEST place in Vegas and really don't care how it is - stay here. $40 for 2 nights -- I don't think you can beat that ANYWHERE.. Not even Laughlin Nevada

Amerisuites was just what we were looking for .. We booked VERY last minute - literally the night before our stay - and had no problems. Their customer service is just a bit lacking but overall pretty good considering I saw the same poor guy there for what looked to be a 10-12 hour shift. He was a bit rude towards the end of the night - but honestly I would have been too.
We were able to get a last-minute Friday / Saturday night SUITE stay for only $170 a night - which was the cheapest we could find that wasn't sold out.. All the other hotels watned $300 - $400 a NIGHT .. so we almost had to cancel our trip until we found Amerisuites.. It's nothing special but for us it worked.
We had the suite which had free internet, little fridge and table, desk area, plus a couch, plus 2 beds for us 2 couples.. It was pretty big and we didn't feel too crowded.. Everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable.. I had trouble sleeping but that was just me in hotels I never sleep good. Everyone else had no trouble and the beds were comfy. We had an OK view of the Stratosphere and that lower part of the Strip.. SOME rooms have a better view -but don't expect one.. It's about 3 blocks away.. You COULD walk in a pinch if you don't mind walking..
Breakfast "buffet" was about as expected for these chains.. One thing I liked was that it had waffle batter and a waffle maker - which I haven't seen before. There was room service but we didn't try it.
Internet was a bit slow but overall worked as promised
There is a pool but seemed a little dirty and small. Still, I bet its crowded in the summer

OMG .. I haven't been on these personally but WOW.. these look absolutely CRAZY.. They are all the way on the top of the Stratosphere Tower, and even from allllllll they way on the other end of the Strip - you can still see the little arms of the ride dangling its riders off the edge of the tower!! I am way too scared to go on a roller coaster at Six Flags - let alone these! But if you love thrills then this would be something you would HAVE to do.. It looks like you are going to be thrown right off the top! There are 3 rides and I believe each one is $14 .. with 2 for $20 and 3 for $25 .. something like that..

I really don't like Sizzler that much.. If you really like steak then you would love it - but I don't and I was expecting more from their "famous salad bar" which was really pretty terrible. There wasn't much to choose from besides salad ingrediants, and most places with salad bars can at least give you things like corn, rice, bread, etc. But then again I am pretty picky..

Santa Monica Beach has alot of things going for it - It's fun, it has alot of tourist attractions, dozens of hotels, and attracts millions. However, it can also be called expensive, overrated, and just plain filthy and dirty. The Pier is great - but prices are HIGH and the water and sand are SO dirty. I grew up going to beautiful Padre Island and the beaches of the Gulf Coast, Texas, Alabama, and Florida - white sandy clean beaches. Santa Monica was a huge shock to me the first time I visited .. and saw YELLOW sand and BROWN GREY water instead of blue.. It's nice to visit but I would NEVER swim in it.

I love the Paris hotel and casino .. It is just beautiful and romantic.. I have never stayed there nor have I gambled there - but the overall atmosphere is my favorite. The fountains, and the fake sky ceiling are waaay better than the one at Cesears Palace.. And the Eifell Tower replica was AMAZING at night.. Positioned so that you can see the water show across the street.. It was an amazing view of all the strip at night.. I believe it was $7.00 a person but worth it.. Avoid if you are afraid of looong elevator rides or heights ! The Paris hotel is one of the best places to go with a lover or a date
