That is exactly what they do...they sell off the salvageable parts of older building that were demolished. This includes gorgeous wrought iron gates and marble statues that cannot be bought but you'd have to pay thousands to have replicated. I found antique crystal doorknobs that were to die for and the last time I was there I fell in love with an old claw foot tub with highly detailed silver plated claws.
For the antique lovers this is a genuine place to get old lighting fixtures, hinges and knobs.
The upstairs showroom has an endless selection of vintage doors that are still in pristine condition just ready to be installed.

I can't say the quality is all that great but then again how many times do you really think you can wear something trendy before it goes out of style. The last time I was there I found a great coral colored halter dress with a bohemian flair to it for only $20. Definitely worth a stop in once and a while on your way home from work.

This store has a great buyer because the selection is also a step ahead of whats trendy. You can get a cool outfit with accessories and its small so you can get all the personalized help that you need. No attitudes here just cool trendy people to let you in on whats hot. I usually stop in to see what their new stock in purses are since they always carry something that catches my eye. Prices are reasonable for the fashion you get in return.

Good consistency that stays on your lips and feels like they are being hydrated. Its the only balm I feel really gets you through the winter with no worries. I don't like the original flavor or smell...it makes me gag. So I buy the mint one which I am totally addicted to. Super cheap and yet works better than any designer brand out there.

I walked into a PC Richards to look at 18 inch dishwashers and found they had no selection except for the single 18 inch on display. When I asked for a catalog to look for one with a stainless steel front the sales guy told me no company makes it that way. This is not true of course as he tried to persuade me to try out the white one even though I continued to tell him it would not match the kitchen. I ended my search in this store for the 18 inch and went to Lowes.
In the electronics section I was there looking for a flat screen TV, after asking many questions and taking the card of my sales associates, I then told him I needed to go home and take measurements and will come back tomorrow. He then told me that I wasted his time and he had other customers to attend to and he thought he was going to sell a TV. What a miserable person this guy was...He makes you feel dumb for trying to shop around. And to think I took his card to ensure he was the one who received the commission after purchase. I ended my search for TV's at PC and went to Circuit City where the personnel is nice and straight forward with all the info on a certain item.
I will never shop at PC again, there are better run places to go to. Also looking at some past history of PC they have been known to have had some complications with Credit card fraud from previous employees.
I wouldn't chance it.

Ever since I stumbled on Buy.com I was hooked on all the daily specials they have. I bought a ML-2010 Samsung B/W laser printer for $50 after the $50 rebate. It was shipped quickly and the process was easy. This was such a bargain because it prints fast and clear and has a great review on its performance.
I compare prices through this site now because aside from the daily specials, they also offer manufacturer rebates that are easy to redeem and basically you just save more money here. I have been keeping a look out at the refurbished electronics section because the low prices really are hard to resist.
Overall I was very satisfied with my purchase and I would buy from them again.
I recommend anyone who shops online for electronics to check this site for any existing rebates before they purchase from another site.

BUT - I did wait on line one summer night just for the sake of waiting on a line that went out the door...just to see what all the hype was all about. I tried one of their plainest cupcakes and yes it was delicious. Must have been all the frosting...its thick and creamy and reminds me of pure butter creme. Its quite indulgent and I had to share mine...but worth it.
My friends and I ate our cupcakes on a park bench across the street where the garbage cans were overloaded with cupcake wrappers and napkins. At the end of the night the staff of Magnolias goes over to that small park area to clean up the garbage and excess that was evidently from their store. I was quite surprised and it made me respect that small business just a bit more aside from their wonderful creations. Thumbs up!

I stopped off here with my friend to get a manicure and pedicure and I was deeply disappointed when I left. The place has a reputation for being sanitary because they drop a chlorine tab into the tubs to disinfect the water. That is one of the reasons why we chose the place. We were quite concerned about fungal infections and tools that were not disinfected properly. My friend brought her own tools but the owner refused to use them and actually scoffed at her for thinking to do so. She explained her concerns about proper disinfection and the owner took it personally. I thought this was really unreasonable behavior and afterward the owner kept starring daggers at us the entire hour we were there. Yet, this was not the problem.
When the soaking was done and my girl had just finished painting my toenails I noticed that it was not the neatest job. I didn't fret about it because it was my feet and it was an ok job. After the nails where done on my hands I took a good look and I could see that the polish was all over my cuticles and the streak marks along the nails. I was not happy since I was paying for nails I could have done better myself.
I decided to tell the owner that this needs to be fixed. The owner apologized nonchalantly while turning to walk the other way, I think I received more shoulder than a sincere apology. She scolded the girl and told her to fix my nails. The girl took some polish remover and used her own finger nails to clean up the sides of each nail bed. Even then, it loo |
