This is pretty much one of my favorite places ever to eat. Their bread, pies, and soups are all homemade. They have pickled things from their garden that's out back. Their Artichoke and Chile soups are amazing. They are even better if you mix them. I would suggest the peach cobbler, the olallaberry pie, and the apple pies.
I have always had amazing food and service here!!!

If you're going "over the hill" to the San Mateo Coast, visit Duarte's Tavern in Pescadero for lunch or dinner. These folks got a James Beard Award last year, but the restaurant is so out-of-the-way that most folks can't find it. Specialties are fresh fish dishes. But the cream of green chile soup is to die for.

For me, no visit to the San Mateo Coast is complete without a stop at this great shop in Pescadero. I find the most unusual gifts here, plus plenty of treasures to dream about. From artwork to cards, hats & scarves, tableware, pictures, and interesting garden sculptures, this is truly a treat for the senses.

If you're going "over the hill" to the San Mateo County coast, be sure to stop at Muzzi's Market in "downtown" Pescadero for their weekend barbecue special. They're usually cooking tri-tips and chicken, and always burgers. There's a deli also, where you can order huge sandwiches on homemade bread to take to the beach. The lines are shorter than at Norm's (Archangeli Grocery) next door. The outdoor garden area has picnic tables.
