My family and I recently went to Knott's Berry Farm. I hadn't been there since I was about 5 years old, so I really didn't have much memory to draw upon.
We had a lovely time. We went during the week and it was not crowded at all. They had cute little rides that our kids could go on (ages 4 years and 17 months). They did also have some larger roller coasters, but I can't say much about those since our kids weren't old enough to go on them.
It's definitely not as impressive as Disneyland, but it was a really cute little place and the kids had a fun time. Our whole family of 4 went to Knott's for less than the price of 1 ticket to Disneyland after my husband's discount through his employer.
There were a lot of restrictions on the rides. I am pregnant and nearly every ride said that pregnant women could not ride. It was a little overboard as some of the rides were less tumultuous than riding in a car. I understand, however, that they want to be safe.
We sat down to eat at Johnny Rocket's, but the prices for adults were ridiculous. The kids food was reasonable (about $4), but the adults were about $8 for a hamburger and then if you wanted fries and a drink you had to add an additional $7. We ended up eating at the Ghost Town Grill and it was much more reasonable. The kid's meals were $6 a piece and included chicken strips, grilled cheese, or several other choices with french fries, a refillable souvenier Snoopy cup, and an ice cream bar. The adults burgers and sandwiches (which included fries) were around $6 or $7.

My family and I recently stayed here on a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. We booked the room through Priceline for $59 per night plus tax. The hotel lobby was very nice - it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. They had a lounge with a pianist and it was great. The rooms were clean and looked recently updated. The hotel was nice and quiet. The staff was courteous.
One of the great things is that kids eat free. We ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and the food was really good. With the kids eating free, it cost us less than taking everybody to McDonald's for breakfast and the food was MUCH better,

I had never been to a Spires restaurant in my life until my family and I recently visited family in the Los Angeles area. It was great. I love that they serve breakfast anytime. I ordered french toast with strawberries and whipped cream and it was to die for! My family were all pleased with their orders as well. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was great - very attentive.

Where do I start to describe how horrible our local Toys R Us store is? I have had nothing but trouble with this store over the years. First off, every single time that I have gone to purchase a large item (usually a baby item like a highchair, stroller, etc) and I take the ticket to the front, the people in the back can never find the item and say that it shows they have several in stock but they just can't find them in the back.
The customer service is terrible at this store. The employees just do not care whether the customer is satisfied or not. My most recent negative experience was when my son received a toy as a gift and it was defective. I took the item back and told them that I would like to exchange the toy for one that worked - I didn't want a refund, just a working toy. They said that they could not do anything without a receipt. I told them that the person who gave it to him did not have a receipt, but I just wanted to exchange it for a working item. They brought the manager over and she has a very snotty attitude an refused to do anything to help us. I told her "so, let me get this straight - Toys R Us gets to keep the money for a defective item that they sold and we have to keep a broken toy." She said that that was correct.
I even tried dealing with the customer service online and they would not budge either. They insisted that without a receipt, they could do nothing.
Even though they frequently have good prices, I will not be buying anything from Toys R Us in the future.

I have been waiting for a long time for Santa Maria to get a Kohl's store and I am happy to say that we finally have one. The store is great - it is clean and organized. The prices are amazing. I was recently able to finish all of my Christmas shopping for my kids when their toys were 40% off plus an additional 20% off of that.
One of the greatest things about the store is that the employees actually take the initiative to figure things out for themselves. Recently I purchased some jeans for my son that were advertised at 50% off, however they rang up at regular price. When I brought it to the cashier's attention, she said that she would just correct it. This was extremely refreshing to me because I am used to clerks who have to call over 3 managers before they can figure anything out.
The only negative to this store is that you can only check out at one place in the front of the store instead of being able to check out at individual departments. This is definitely not a dealbreaker, but it would be nice not to have to truck all of your items to the front of the store if everything you are buying is in the back.

My family and I recently went on a trip and stopped off for lunch at Carrow's in Northridge. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. The waitress was pleasant. I was really impressed with the fact that when the food was taking a long time to be finished, she went ahead and brought out the kid's food first so that they would not be so antsy. It did take a while to get our food, but it was not too bad considering that it was the lunch hour. The food was very good and the restaurant was nice and clean. I would visit this restaurant again.

I have seen Dr. Storrer a couple of times and she seems like she is really a great doctor. Her nurse Kathy is also very nice. I have spoken with her several times on the phone and she is also very pleasant in person.
My only complaint is the lack of organization with the office. When I went for my first OB appointment, they had three different charts for me and therefore could not find all of my information. I had a test back on 10/5/06 and I still have not gotten the results back from that. I am hoping that these are just a couple of kinks that need to be worked out and that this is not going to be an ongoing problem because it seems that the doctor herself is a good doctor.

I was really happy with this facility when I recently had to go for an ultrasound early in my pregnancy. As many women who have had children know, you are required to drink a whole bunch of water and then not urinate before your ultrasound. Well, I was in a lot of pain and just could not wait, so the nurse was really nice and lead me across the office to a restroom that was not occupied and told me that it was okay to go "just a little" - which made such a big diffrerence to me.
The most important thing was when I actually had the ultrasound. When I had them with my previous pregnancies and it was an "emergency" situation, the tech would turn the screen away from me and just keep a poker face and I would have to wait until I got the results from my doctor to make sure everything was okay. When I had my ultrasound done here, the tech was very nice. She turned the screen so that I could see and showed me my baby's heartbeat. I was so relieved that I did not have to wait several days to find out that everything was okay.
To sum it up, I was very happy with this facility and how they treated me.

I recently visited Dr. Cedars office due to an illness that I contracted early in my pregnancy. He is a perinatologist and deals with high risk pregnancies. His office staff was very kind. I was highly impressed with how much attention they put into keeping everyone's information private (i.e. - a window that they closed while taking telephone calls, etc.) I had an ultrasound and I was amazed at the quality of the image. I have had two other children and have never seen an ultrasound that was so clear. I was only 10 weeks pregnant at the time and I could see every little finger and toe - it was amazing! Dr. Cedars was very nice and had a nice bedside manner. I feel very comfortable going back to see him.

My family and I recently visited Torrance and went to Target. We were really impressed with the size of this Target. However, once we entered the store, we found that the employees were extremely rude. On a couple of occassions, we were nearly run over by employees who were in a hurry to get to the next aisle to stock items. We were greeted with rude attitudes and curt responses when we asked where different items were located. I just could not get over how absolutely rude the employees were. Don't they understand that if it weren't for the customers, that they wouldn't have jobs? Evidently they don't understand that premise, or they just didn't care.
