The Appleton Public Library is one of my favorite places to spend time. I could spend hours just walking through their fiction section, picking out books that I might enjoy. They have a nice selection of DVDs and videos also. The children's section is large and widely used. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I usually get all my new release DVDs from the library since it is so much cheaper than going to the video store!

I agree with the other user, I also grew up here, and after living in West Coast cities for 5 years, I ALWAYS have to come back to Victoria's. There is nothing like this in bigger cities, soo much food for the price, I hope all the locals continue to patronize and keep Victoria's alive !!
Pros: Food selection, immigrant-style Italian hard to find outside Midwest
Cons: Portions a bit too large, but goes with the style.

If you don't want to attend a FULL year, they're a good gym. However, if you have any thoughts of moving don't go. If you are not completely sure, don't go. And if you don't want to pay a lot of money for a useless trainer, don't attend their meetings, they only want you to pay without delivering much value. If you MIGHT move to a neighboring area, stay far far away because if you don't move a FULL 50 miles away from the nearest location you will not get out of your contract. ABC Financial has some of the worst customer relations you will ever find, they crutch on Gold's policy, and Gold's insists there is nothing they can do and that you have to call ABC Financial. Oh, and the documents you need for proof of relocation are things that take you a month or two to get depending on how all of your banking and memberships are set up. And guess what.... they keep billing until you get them plus charge you for canceling.

St. Patrick Book Store has a great assortment of Christian gifts, especially Catholic. They offer items for Baptisms, First Communions, Marriage, and general merchandise. I have purchased baby books for family members, and even key chains when my children received their driver's license. One of only a few Christian gift stores in town, and I believe the only Catholic one.

I enjoy going to Flanagan's for both my beer and for wine for my wife. They have a great selection of German wine and beer. They will chill a bottle of wine for you if you don't have time to chill it when you get home. They are downtown but you can park behind the store, so you are nice and close and down have to carry your stuff to far. I always get great service in there and they always give my kids a little treat so that keeps them happy..

Koreana's has to have the best sushi in town. If you go, you must try the Jumbo Philly roll, which is lightly seared. I have one every time I go. Prices are slightly expensive, but reasonable for sushi.

Happy Baby Garden, Construction Junction, the fire truck, the heart, and Grandma’s Attic are so great for the kids .. I myself enjoyed the museum as an adult . Interaction with exhibits will intrigue, involve, and challenge children, of all ages ..
they are continuing to keep building new adventure skills for all. be sure and plan a whole day of fun .we did and loved every minute ..

Walking the trails at Buboltz is very peaceful. I saw more wildlife in one place thaan I did all of my trip to the so called Northwoods last weekend. Whats really nice is that I dont have to drive for 2 hours to get to see nature. Its right here in the Fox valley. There was no charge to walk the trails but I loved it so much I left a donation in the box outside. Hopefully they have enough money to get through the bad times. I heard they may have to cut way back on open hours to save money.
