This store is humongous. It covers a total of 80 acres and you can find just about everything there for the home. It's not just a furniture store. They have appliances, computers, electronics, flooringand it is all made readily available to you. Because of the expansive store and warehouse you seldom have to wait for an article to be ordered.
My son-in-law spent his time in the electronics/computer area, My daughter and I roamed trough the bedroom and dining room areas as well as their bargain area. My other daughter and family were checking out flooring for their basement so that Kyle could move his drums down there. They got a good buy too.
I found helpful employees everywhere. They didn't really bug you but just told you if you needed help to let them know. It is an experience to just go and look around.
Found just off I-435 at exit 13B it is an easy store to get to and has a lot of parking. Store Hours
Monday through Saturday, 10 am - 9 pm Sunday, 10 am - 6 pm
Nebraska Furniture Mart is generally closed on major holidays.
Check it out on this website.

You just can't beat Bob Evans Restaurants for good food and economical prices. My last Sunday on vacation I took both of my daughters and families out to eat at the Bob Evans at the Legends north of Kansas City KS. We all had meals and mine was Red Pepper and Italian sausage pasta meal. It came with a generous salad and two large slices of hot garlic bread.
We arrived there about one o'clock so being a Sunday we had a short wait. There were places to sit inside to wait or you could wait outside on benches. It was a pleasant day and nice outdoors.
Our server was very pleasant and efficient. The food was served promptly and was hot. The restaurant and rest rooms were clean. It is just a nice family atmosphere and was a good dining experience.
The total cost for 7 people was 51.80 and with a 10.00 tip, 61.80, Very reasonable I'd say.
You can find this Bob Evans at 1704 Village West Parkway, Kansas City Ks 66111, phone (913) 299-1278

This is a new outdoor shopping area northwest of Kansas City KS. Located in a development called the Legends at Village West, it is just off I-435 at exit 13B.
Look for the smokestack tower. This mall is set up like a modern day town with outdoor entrances to all the stores and a town square. It melds the Wild West (with restaurants like the Saddle Ranch Chop House) to the modern day with Aeropostle and Adidas. There is an air of community in this shopping area , places with outdoor eating, and in the summer they have live music in the open areas which is a big drawing card.
The variety of stores includes all the big names and you will also find outlet stores among them. There are also some outlying stores and restaurants which border the main village. With a large parking ramp that is free it is the in place to shop North of Kansas City KS.
It was originally started with the building of the Kansas Motor Speedway which is right across from the village. The other large stores in the original building plan are Nebraska Furniture Mart, Cabelas and Great Wolf Lodge.
Check it out at this website.

No It isn't in a dinosaur but it is a dinosaur experience. While their website says T-Rex Cafe, most people refer to it as simply T-REX. I wasn't prepared when I walked into this cavernous building which houses a cafe area, with prehistoric themed dining areas as well as exploration experiences in the Paleo Zone. Unearth the past in the area called Discovery Dig or pan for precious stones or gold in Discovry Creek. You can build your own Dino in an area called Build A Dino, by Build a Bear stores. Plan a party there or hold a corporate event. It's all available.
Once your children get there they won't want to leave.
Educational tours are available and can be arranged by calling 913-334-8888
You may find the food a little pricey. One look at the menu told me I wasn't going to eat there, but the experience of just going there is well worth the trip. T-REX is in the Legends mall at The Legends of Village West located at I-435 and Parellel Parkway West (just north of I-70) and is a quick drive from Kansas City. There is a parking ramp for the mall that is free of charge
Check out all that T-REX has to offer at this site.

Yes that is exactly what you get at the German Quick Stop. This small restaurant sells authentic German food and the prices are very reasonable. The smell of Kraut greets you if you have any doubts about the German part of the name. They have a variety of entres with daily specials. The day I was there it was Kassler Ripschen or German pork chops. The atmosphere is that of a restaurant in the German Alps, with red and white checked curtains and table cloths. As I sat at the table I could hear a spattering of conversations in German and my daughter said it was very popular with the German population of Lawton. I ordered Red Pepper Schnitzle and it came with salad and roll. The price was 7.95.
I found this restaurant to be clean and the server was friendly and efficient, and the food came to us fast. It could fill up at the dinner hour so be sure to get there early.
You will find this charming Quick Stop here:

If you are looking for a Mexican dining experience in Lawton OK this is a good place to go. The decor is bright and cheerful and there is a happy atmosphere. I was there on a Friday evening and it was obvious that it was a good family eating place. They have all the usual Mexican foods and I had a Chimichanga with beef. It was quite large and after the warm chips and homemade salsa I was filled when I finished eating. Our server came and asked if we were ready for our dessert. I though she was joking but I didn't know that you get sopopillas with every meal. They were freshly made and still warm. The prices were very modest. The restaurant has adequate parking, but being a popular spot it is always good to get there early.
Los Tes Amigos can be found at 5203 N. Cache Rd. in Lawton OK., Call for more information,580-353-3380
