This book store has not been here for that long so it is still new looking. The buidling is very nice and kept up nicely. The employees are friendly and the store always has good books. I like going in here to read magazines they also have nice selection of small items to.

Dewar's is a Bakersfield owned candy shop. They have some yummy candy that is perfect to give as a gift. I know I like getting it as a gift. :) They have good flavors, even the ones I thought I wouldn't like, I did. Besides having a couple of shops, you can also buy Dewar's at various stores around the holidays.

Petco is a great place to shop for your pets. The grooming staff is excellent, its the only place I get my dog groomed. They always have great deals on items.Their always busy so that must mean something. they are always well stocked on the items i need. They have great customer service and well trained people there. Its the only place i shop for my animals and i always recommend them to everyone.

My first time at El sombrero was at he age of 9 , I am now 46 and would not give up the chance to eat there at least 3-4 times a week , the chili Verde is awesome and the soft fried tacos cannot be found anywhere else . The excellent food and service are A1, Definitely 5 stars not to mention the fact that the cost will not leave your wallet empty. I highly recommend it to any one who is a lover of Great Mexican food.Tina

The olive garden is one of the bigger italian restaurants in town. They are a fairly big restaurant with many seats. However, sometimes the wait for a table can be very long which is kind of discouraging. But the quality of the food makes up for it all because it is excellent.

JC Penny's has a nice little salon upstairs many probably do not even know it's there. They stylists are very well trained and creative in here. Sometimes I am a bit nervous on what they suggest to do to my hair, but I am always pleased with the outcome. I enjoy their creativity.

My favorite part about this store is their icecream. It is great and really cheap. Sometimes they dont have anyone working to scoop icecream and it may take a while for someone to come up but it always tastes great. They are very friendly in here and the store is kept up really nice. It is in a very nice part of town to.

They usually have models in the store greeting people which is kind of cool. The mens and womens section is divided in half, so it is easy to find each section. This is definitly the best pizza anywhere! I've been eating at Pizzaville USA since 1970. I do believe they still have the original recipe from when they opened their doors. Very highly recommended!!
Pros: The best tasting pizza i've ever tasted!!
Cons: A bit of a somber setting. Too dark. Needs a remodel inside.
