We have a local bakery in this area called the Horizon's Patisserie. We have been there many times to buy baked goods or bread. When my daughter's birthday was coming near, my hubby decided that we should order her cake there. We wanted to get her a princess cake (the kind with a Barbie in the middle) When we went to pick it up, we were surprised at how wonderful it turned out! It was just breathtaking! It didn't even look like a cake really. Everyone at the party loved it. It tasted wonderful too, the cake was really moist and the frosting was delicious! The cake was a little pricey at $35, but it was worth it. We will be back next year for another birthday cake!

Edible Arrangements is a new business in our area. We decided to buy some of my husbands employees gifts from there this Christmas. They offer huge arrangements of fruit and chocolate made to look like flower bouquets. They turned out great, and the employees really loved them! Everything was fresh and delicious. They are not cheap, but I guess if you want good quality, you have to pay a little more $$ Small arrangements start around $40 and they go up to the $100 range.

My husband and I have been shopping at this store for many years. We have bought our wedding rings there, as well as many other jewelry purchases throughout the years. He recently bought himself a new watch that he loves. We always have the same saleslady, Yola, who is wonderful. We get excellent service and she always makes sure that she gives us the best prices that she can. We will be using Osterman's for many years to come.

The LakeShore Grill is a small restaurant in Saginaw that not everyone is familiar with. It is tucked away inside Macy's on the second floor. I have eaten there many times and they have delicious food! The menu is not very big, but they do have a really nice variety. The mandarin salad is one of my favorite items, also the chicken stir fry. All of the food is always really fresh and well prepared. They also have excellent servers there. Everyone is very nice and polite every time I go in there. They have delicious desserts too, my favorite is the key lime pie. If you ever eat there, you must try it!

My local Applebee's has a new menu. They have some of my old favorites on there, but also some great new items. My husband and I have been there twice in the past month. We have had great food both times. I love the new Santa Fe chicken salad on the menu. It is really good and flavorful. My husband has been enjoying the special items by celebrity chef Tyler Florence. He loves the bruschetta burger and last time we went he had a steak served with crab and shrimp. He loved every bite!
For years, we have hardly ever gone to Applebee's because we got tired of the same of stuff on the menu. Now that they have changed things up and some such great new choices, we will definitely be dining there more often.

The Butman Fish Library is very close to our house, so my daughter and I go often. They have a terrific children's section, lots of books and puzzles to look at and play with. They also have a very large selection of children's movies to check out. One neat thing about this library is that they have monthly activities for kids also. Besides just the weekly story time and playgroup, which are both fun, they have other things. In October the had a craft thing where kids could make their own trick-or-treat bags for candy. They do fun stuff like that every month. My daughter really enjoys our trips here. The adult books are nice too!

My husband and I have been there twice and all the food we have tried has been excellent.They serve a lot of seafood and they also have an extensive steak selection.They serve a delicious house salad with bread before the meal. On our last visit, my husband had the tuna steak and I had mesquite shrimp. We both loved our meals.
Both times we have visited this place, the service has been excellent. We had no complaints at all. The only reason we would not visit here more often, is that it is quite pricey. Most meals are at least $20 many of the steaks are much higher, so with drinks and an appetizer or dessert, it gets a little pricey.

They recently opened up a Buffalo Wild Wings in our area. A few weeks ago, we decided to go and try it out.
Although it is a sports bar type of place, it is quite kid friendly. They have a kids club and if you sign up your child, they can get 99 cent kids meals (except on the weekends) and they get free ice cream after their meal. Each Wednesday is kids night and they have prize drawings. The night we happened to be there, they gave away 2 children's bikes!
They have a lot of fried food on the menu, and burgers and salads. Their specialty is the chicken wings. They also have an awesome selection of barbecue sauces, like 12 different flavors. They are really good. My hubby bought a few bottles to take home. They were $3.99 each, not a bad price at all.
We will definitely be back to Buffalo Wild Wings.

I am lucky enough to live about a half an hour away from Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, which is the worlds largest Christmas store. They sell anything possibly Christmas related, thousand of ornaments, lights, garlands, trees, gifts, nativity sets and collectibles. This is THE Christmas store if you are looking for a hard to find item. This store is so huge that you seriously could get lost in here, and spend hours looking at stuff!
This store is open year round, although we usually only go there around Christmas time. I am excited to take my daughter there this year, I think she will love it!
They also have a great online shop with a huge selection of their merchandise, including their awesome personalized Christmas ornaments.

This is a really huge store. They sell candy of course, all of the regular Hershey's brands, some of them in special sizes and packaging. They also sell t-shirt and some toys, Hershey's trucks and teddy bears and stuff like that.
They have a few really neat things there, one is that you can buy a personalized giant Hershey's kiss with a custom message, or a message written in chocolate on a giant chocolate bar. You order your item and they personalize it while you wait.
They also have a cute thing for children where you can get your picture taken with a Hershey's factory worker hat, and they make a badge for you, an honorary Hershey' factory worker and they give the children a small bucket of Hershey's candy for $14.95.
