I head into Shake Shake Mama's at least twice a week for their healthy shakes and lunch. I had avoided their lunch for a while, figuring the shakes were their specialty. I was delightfully surprised - their food is delicious! My favorite is a chicken wrap with feta. Their dressings are excellent. They also have vegan and vegetarian alternatives.

If only this place could improve some. The food is pretty good, but the kid's menu leaves a lot to be desired. The interior is fantastic, but the front room is too open to feel comfortable. There's a real creep-out factor of walking through a bar area to get to the restrooms. Their guacamole is fantastic. Going there with a crowd can be harrowing. On a weeknight, we went there with about 15 people. Our food came out in dribs and drabs, so people felt awkward eating when other people didn't have their food yet. I'm not sure what to make of this place yet. We'll see if they improve.

Marmora is easily my favorite lunch restaurant in Troy. The atmosphere is lovely, the owners (husband and wife) are warm and engaging, and the food is fantastic. Excellent presentation, delicious flavor, and priced right. I love their grilled chicken salad. I highly recommend checking out Marmora. They are located in the Antique District downtown.

I initially had an OB/GYN close to my home, but found they treated their patients like cattle (awful experience!). So I decided to switch to Mondragon McGrinder after googling for a local OB. A major plus is that Dr. Mongradgon is head of obstetrics at Bellevue Women's Hospital (where I wanted to deliver our baby). So I decided to try them out, and I'm so happy I did. Their office staff is wonderful - they actually remember who you are rather than ignore you and have you write down your name each time you visit (a nice, personal touch). The doctors are also very sensitive and accommodating. We were very happy with the birth experience!

When I first moved to Bellevue, one of my first quests was to find the public library. What can I say - I'm a dork! Anyhow, this library is absultely amazing. On multiple floors, there is plenty to choose from for me and my family. I especially loved the amount of travel books available. The children's section is also wonderful, and I found the librarians to be extra nice to the kiddies (patience!). All in all, I could wander around here for hours.

I was hugely disappointed by this place. My first tip-off should have been the "unique" name spelling. My second tip-off should have been how empty they were during the day in the summertime (where are the kids?). They had a couple games I liked, but hardly any classics or variations away from the first person shooters or ride-em cars. I would have loved to try out the batting cages, but the two times I came here - they weren't in operation. All in all, I'd rather head into Seattle for the other arcades.

My family and I love to go to this shop because of their imaginative displays and products. What I like most of all about this shop is there is plenty to keep my husband occupied with the grown up model supplies and whatnot, and there are also plenty of toddler-sized toys (Thomas the Train). I can also wander around the store being amazed at all of the train products. The parking is easy - there is a lot right there (although weekends are extra busy, as it's near the downtown waterfront area of Kirkland).

As a medieval enthusiast, you can imagine my surprise to find this gorgeous little museum in the middle of New York City. This is a quiet and serene place where you can tour five areas comprised of medieval tapestries and art. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff are informative and welcoming. This is a hidden treasure that not too many tourists seem to know about (which really, that's a good thing - I've never found it to be crowded or noisy).

I've been to the Bronx Zoo with my child and friends. At the time, they were in the midst of some renovations, so not all of the sections were available. Of course, the food is always over-priced and blah at the zoo, but we tend to go there to see the animals and not to have a dining experience. I did find the zoo particularly crowded and noisy when you came anywhere near the droves of camp kids. I wish they would have special days for that, so that people with small children could just enjoy the park without having to deal with the craziness. We did enjoy the woodsy feeling in parts of the zoo, only to be reminded of the nearby roads in other. We stayed in the city, and we were able to take a special bus from outside one of the toy shops that went straight out to the zoo. The zoo was ok, but it’s not a place I'd be a regular patron at.

As an Apple computer user, I love going to this computer shop. The place is small enough to provide individual attention by intelligent salespeople (rather than the dweebs at the bigger computer stores). I can find Apple products here, get advice, and take my system in for service if I need to. Their website is also helpful: http://www.castlecomp.com/
