We were at a friend's house in San Francisco recently, and they ordered Pizzeria Supremo for dinner: one cheese pizza, one ground beef pizza (for me, and I'm VERY picky about my ground beef pizza), and a vegetarian pizza.
I tried a slice from each pie, so I can tell you about each one. The crust was delicious and well spun, while the cheese was just enough to NOT make your crust oily.
The veggie pizza was delicious, and didn't have gross random vegetables. It blended perfectly.
The cheese pizza was pretty good too..not much you can say about cheese pizza, but it was really good :).
The ground beef pizza was AWESOME. I remember the last time I had ground beef pizza (Domino's), I got food poisoing, and was skeptical about trying another ground beef pizza. But I love the topping so much, so I decided to try this from Pizzeria Supremo. The beef was cooked PERFECTLY, and it was my favorite pizza pie out of the 3.
This is a really good pizza place for the next time you want to order in.

There seem to be many new halal (meat slaughtered according to Islamic laws...muslim equivalent of Jewish 'kosher') restaurants popping up all over the city, and this is one I just discovered this week.
There were SO many things that you could order from the menu that it was hard to choose. Thankfully, we had somebody with us who'd already been to Bang San before and recommended some of their favorite dishes.
I ordered the fried chicken over fried rice. Now, just that phrase makes my mouth water...whoever invented this wonderful dish deserves a pat on the back.
DANG. The chicken was just crispy and right, and the fried rice had just the right amount of onions and eggs. With just a little sweet and sour sauce on top, this combination of flavors was EXCELLENT.
I'm DEFINITELY coming back to this restaurant again. It's right next door to Chutney, one of my other favorite restaurants in the city, so that's going to be hard choosing between the two next time :). Try Bang San Thai, it's delicious.

Whenever we're in the Tahoe area, we always grab a bite to eat at Sprouts Natural Foods Cafe. It's a really cute, cozy place (you can eat inside or outside) with nice, young waitresses (to add to the young crowd), and delicious, healthy food.
They have the weirdest combos of food, but they all taste delicious, and they're all GOOD for you.
They also have a wide variety of drinks including smoothies and coffee.
There are a lot of college kids and beach bums :) who come here to chill.
Perfect atmosphere. love it.

I'm actually writing this review while sitting in one of the condos at Brockway Springs just chillaxing.
The weather here in King's Beach is in the low 90's with just a little breeze, and perfect sun for tanning.
We keep coming back here when we're in the Tahoe area because it's pretty perfect.
It's awesome for both families and kids, and great to bring friends along. They offer up to 4 (pretty sure..?) bedroom condos, most of which overlook the lake or a lawn.
The pool overlooks the lake which overlooks the mountains which equals paradise. :)
This place is great to relax and tan in, and the staff are SUPER friendly, the condos are clean, and it's a great, well-priced experience in all.

This ancient (okay, maybe not ANCIENT, but it's been here for a LONG time) ice cream store is located on Broadway and every summer it attracts many of Burlingame's residents who prefer its sweet treats to the Baskin Robbins on Burlingame Ave.
The whole feel and look of the store is old-fashioned. It's pretty cute. The colors are pink and red, and white, kind of like a barbershop...but one that sells ice cream.
I always get their cherry vanilla ice cream with the huge cherry chunks, and sometimes I get some candy from their candy section.
I'm pretty sure this is a family owned business, and that's why it keeps getting regular customers (Like my family). Very cute place!

After spending hundreds of dollars on my hair in Burlingame salons (on just haircuts, mind you. I don't do highlights or coloring or any of that), my mom suggested I save my money and try San Mateo salons, which are known to be cheaper (than Burlingame, at least).
Her friend had tried Helen's Beauty Salon and liked it AND the price (25 bucks for a haircut!). She gets her waxing, pedicures, manicures, and haircuts there (I noticed while I was getting my hair done that they had a lot of regular customers for pedicure/manicure).
I'm pretty sure that there was only one person at the salon who does hair-- Seda. When I first walked into the salon, I noticed that she was an elderly woman...my first thought was to get the heck out of there. At my old salon, my hairstylist was elderly (my polite way of saying that she was plain OLD) and took FOREVER to do my hair plus charged me tons for nothing extra special. I decided to stay (25 bucks for a haircut was my motivation.)
Seda did an INCREDIBLE job on my hair. FIRST of all, she told me the prices BEFORE she began, which to me is very professional (I hate when you go into a salon and they charge you way too much for extras you never agreed to). It was very clear-- shampooing was 5 bucks, and the haircut was 25. So I only had 30 bucks to lose.
She also gave me her opinions on what would look good on me and what she recommended--a style that would look good with my hair curly, and when I straightened it (btw, my old stylist NEVER dared recommend anything to me. when i asked for her opinion, she told me it was my decision...grrr!).
I walked out with FULL (my hair is thin, but curly, so the haircut totally complemented me), GORGEOUS, locks with HOT side bangs. Everybody loved my new haircut (I got it done yesterday, btw, and am SUPER excited with it! :), and asked if it cost a 100? Nope...just 30, guys :). My hair looks so much healthier and beautiful now, and I give props to Seda.
Try her. I know I'll be back.

I've never been to this location of Subway, surprisingly, although it is very close to me. My friend used to work here and she quit because only 'old ladies worked in that particular location' (which isn't a valid reason, but nevertheless, I'm trying to create the mood for this review ;).
I came here hungry, tired, hot (the weather that day was about 85 degrees, which is too hot for the area of California that I live in), and was expecting a nice, big tuna melt sandwich.
When I first walked through the door, three words popped into my head: sweaty, gross, gross. There was a line of about 5 people, and about 2 ladies fixing the sandwiches. One of the girls (who I was served by, lucky me) looked pretty sick, with allergies, and sweatiness, and she kept rubbing her nose (SHE WASN'T WEARING GLOVES, EITHER!). She also kept wiping her sweaty brow with her bare hand. Now, I'm not a picky eater (believe it or not), and I'm the nicest person when it comes to dealing with bad service (most of the time), but that was just disgusting!
Then I asked her if they had tuna melts (while she was already fixing my sandwich), and she hurriedly said, "I can toast it for you". I said sure, then she started taking everything off my sandwich (with her bare hand--the same one that she used to wipe her sweat and nose), and throwing it back in the bins (at this point, other customers started noticing this grossness). She then toasts my sandwich, and puts back all the vegetables from the bins that she had thrown in earlier.
How was the sandwich? Delicious, but the whole thing just grossed me out before I could finish it. And service sucked as you can see from above.
I can understand if the girl who served me was sick and was down from the weather, but PLEASE, I don't want sweat on my sandwich.
Now, on a lighter note, Subway has a special daily for a limited time--each day they have a sandwich offered at $2.49 (different kind each day).
Will I be purchasing the $2.49 Tuna Special on Friday?
No, thanks, I don't want to find out what made it "special".
It's a thumbs down for this Subway location for me.

I was in Sacramento yesterday, so I just HAD to visit the Arden Fair Mall. The last time I was there was about three years ago, so I don't really remember much about it except that it was huge and awesome.
Yesterday, when I went, it was near closing time, so not many people were there, but there were many stores open. Among the MANY, MANY stores that they have are: Coach, Nordstroms, Cache, Wet Seal, Claire's, a HUGE variety of teen stores, a HUGE variety of salons with specialty brand names, and MANY carts where people sell cool jewelry, products, straighteners, whatever you want.
I wish we had a mall close to us that had all this cool stuff. The nearest one I can think of is the Great Mall in Milpitas, but you can't even compare Arden Fair to that.

We used to come to this store more than we do now, and only because we discovered Whole Foods now. This store, however, is located in a convenient location, so when nobody feels like driving to Whole Foods, this is where we go.
They have anything healthy or organic or natural that you can imagine: meats, vegetables, wheat, alfalfa, whatever.
My mom likes to come here to buy all their grains and healthy drinks.
I come here to get healthy granola and cereal bars. This place has been here forever, so there must be a reason why :). So, if you're a health freak, come check it out!

They have passport pictures, they develop digital pictures, disposables, etc....
The owners are very nice, and the prices are pretty cheap. With their new location, I've noticed that more people are coming here now because it's bigger and you can see it more easily than the old location.
So if you're not satisfied with your current photo developer, come to Foto Foto.
