Salon 21 is not your expensive hair salon, which might be due to the type of staff. I would recommend this salon if you can't afford anything on the higher end of the scale. Their cuts and colors are fairly cheap, but I wouldn't rely on a great color job here. This is good for basic cuts and for males who aren't too concerned or picky about their hair. I just had a blow dry here and that wasn't even too great.

A woman's boutique that has a very nice selection of dresses, skirts, and tops. The service, sales and bargains on these nice clothes is another attraction to the store. Precision usually has seasonal sales that go from 50-70% off the retail price. Every time I walk by, I can already spot out really cute, light and airy skirts. The negative is, sometimes the displays don't show off the good clothing inside the store which gives a quick impression when passing by.

A fairly new entry in Murray Hill, Pookie & Sebastian has a niche selection of fashion items for women. A wide selection of tops and jeans along with shoes and accessories will make your shopping experience an exciting one. The store has little selection for those of taller and larger body types. Prices tend to be fair for most items though higher for others. This is a good option if you need something at the last minute! Their display windows always shows the latest styles in the young fashion world.

This gym has a persistant and dedicated staff who have been training for years. Two of my sisters went here & one stuck with it from when she was a tot to now competing at the college level. A lot of gymnasts here work hard to reach their goal thanks to their instructors who stick by them. The gym has flexible hours, which includes an open gym for the ones who need a little extra practice in their spare time. Aerial Gymnastics is open weekdays till late evening & weekend hours varies. The gym is located in a secluded business park with no traffic and plenty of parking on the side.

Spa Meridian offers many services, from spa packages to waxing, manicure/pedicure, deep tissue massage and hair salon services. They offer many types of waxing from your fingers ($5) to the brazilian bikini wax ($50+). For Manhattan the pricing is pretty good, without being too expensive. The spa packages range from $170-$400. They believe in taking out the toxins and replenishing through massage techniques.

Novello's is fairly big and sells varieties of food...from refrigerated items and produce to the salad and hot food bars. The big negative is, I always feel like I'm being followed and eyed by the worker/owner as if I'm going to shoplift or something... get real! They act as if they don't trust any customers. This is a huge annoyance. The other thing I didn't like was the salad bar, which contains oil on every type of salad they have. Containered food from the bar is weighed by the ounce...so it does add up!

This is a tiny little market right in Midtown that sells produce, desserts, and beverages. Although the produce might look a little fresher than groceries stores around it, it's a little too pricey. The selection isn't very big either. I thought this would finally be the place to buy fresh food, but I was a little disappointed. I do notice a lot of elderlies that like to come to the store, but probably due to the convenience and less hastles than grocery stores. Now I only go there to use the ATM.

This is a barn style shop just across from the hospital. They do have your basic needs and the pricing is very average, if not, inexpensive. I would trust ordering from here than most online stores...you never know what might turn out upon delivery.

The salon may be a little intimidating to walk into a first, but after being served an iced coffee, I was more relaxed. Stephen Knoll is by far one of the best salons you can go to. He works here at his own salon along with his professional staff whom also work on a popular clientele list. This isn't why I went here though. I read the background of my colorist and stylist which is exactly why I picked them. No cheesy stuff here! They know the cuts that frame your face and color that compliments your skin. They make sure your hair is in tip top shape before you even step out of there. I always make sure I give a good tip because this isn't your average colorist/hairstylist.
