I visited The Little Colony to get some Girl Scout things for my daughters and was so impressed with the selection of clothes at the store. They have the cutest high-end brands that aren't easy to find in the south suburbs.
They have a friendly staff, easy-to-navigate store, and convenient lay-away plan. If you're in the area, stop by this cute boutique - you won't be disappointed!

There is always lots of stuff going on at this park, whether it's baseball games, kids playing on the playground, kids at summer camp, or people just out walking along the track. This park is kept nice and neat and the people here really seem to enjoy using it! The kids love it!

Their food is pretty good and the prices are not bad. They do have really really good ginger cookies though. I really like those. I guess overall this place is just okay.

We look forward to seeing this fountain brought back to life in the spring every year! The kids especially get a kick out of the synchronized "show." We often bring a bagged lunch and just sit and relax, watch the people, watch the water, whatever. On hot, windy days you get an extra treat by the mist blowing off the water - a nice cool down!

Located at Navy Pier, this Children's museum is a great way to distract the kids after or before a day of shopping! The museum features hands on exhibits, so the kids are encouraged to touch and play to their hearts content. They don't even realize that they are learning because they are having so much fun. Our favorite is the water play area, where the kids can splash all they want!

I think this is one of the cooler places to visit when in Chicago but it often gets overlooked for some reason - probably because it is so close to the other more 'well known' sites in the city.
The shows they put on are really neat here - you lay back and gaze up at the domed ceiling and watch the show.
The other exhibits are really cool to see, too!

We have a good time when we come here just looking at the water and the boats and ships that are docked and out on the lake.
Beyond that - there is the giant ferris wheel, lots of shopping...
We have a good time when we come here just looking at the water and the boats and ships that are docked and out on the lake.
Beyond that - there is the giant ferris wheel, lots of shopping options, the IMAX theater (cool!) and tons of other things to do! There is a really great kids' museum here at Navy Pier as well! Also there are lots of restaurants to choose from when you get tired of shopping and need a pick-me-up!
We went during the winter once and that was really neat as well - lots of decorations and fun things to see and do.

This is a cool place to go in Chicago if you want to see a great view from an older building. I love standing in the "open air" area - you have no idea what the wind is really like till you actually feel it all around you! It can get crowded in the summer so I'd recommend late spring or early fall so that you really get a chance to experience it!

I would really like to go again and just pick what I really want to see, so that I can browse and take my time. I live close enough that I could go a few times instead of packing it all into one day. This is a great place to visit!
