I saw Kristi Stoddard today for my first acupuncture session ever. I was a bit nervous, but more excited to see what acupuncture could do for me.
I went for anxiety and infertility issues, and Kristi seemed confident that she could help me with both.
She was a great listener, very empathetic (which is so wonderful for those of us trying to get pregnant) and seemed to genuinely care.
Although she's not a preferred provider though my insurance I will continue to see her, because I felt comfortable with her.
The actual acupuncture wasn't traumatizing at all, only a few of the needles hurt, and it wasn't anything major.
I felt great this afternoon. Placebo affect or not, I'll take it!

I ate at Blue C for the first time this weekend, and just went back again tonight! I don't like sushi, but there were quite a few options for me. The salad, edamame, dumplings, sesame salad and tempura were excellent. The staff was excellent and very attentive. Drinks are great, and their wine list, although limited, is very nice. I really enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc on their list.
My sushi-lover friends adore this place, and it's surprisingly reasonable!

I went to a wine event tonight at Saint Germain with a girlfriend of mine. We loved the intimate feel and the wine was delicious. There was live music and there were many people mulling around sipping from stemless wine glasses, eating delicious looking desserts and chatting with one another.
The staff wasn't extraordinarily attentive, but there was a lot going on and many people walking around.
I will definitely be back, I'd love to try a meal next time!

Dr. Davison is one amazing woman. My Mom and I have been seeing her for the past 7 years and have referred many of our friends and family members to her. She recently (well, within the last year or so) moved to a new location in Madison Park (she used to be in the U-District).
Lisa is a caring, authentic doctor who truly listens to you and cares about your well-being. I never, ever feel rushed when I go to see her. She knows my needle phobia and even does my blood draws herself. She takes great notes, remembers a ton, and I love that her dog is there to calm me during an especially scary appointment.
Dr. Davison is someone I will continue to see until she retires. I have told her many times that I wish she delivered babies! Unfortunately she doesn't, so I'll just continue to see her for my general needs. I just love her.

There is a lovely woman in the Crossroads shopping center who does excellent alterations. I used her for a bridesmaid's dress and she did beautiful work for a relatively inexpensive price. She was quick and everything was just as I asked. She has a very nice changing area set up with large mirrors. She doesn't speak much English, but really knows her stuff.

Here's the deal. I've been seeing Becky (the owner) off and on since I was about 13. My Mom and Aunt have seen her consistently for at least 12 years. She's a kick in the pants to talk to - very outgoing and we have developed a nice report.
I wish I lived closer to Edmonds, I'd make her my one and only. Living so close to downtown is an evil temptation and makes me want to try a bunch of new (and not as good) hair places.
Becky frequently sees more than one client at a time, but I've never felt that my service suffered as a result. I might be under a dryer while she dyes someone else's hair, but it hasn't been an issue. If you think this might bug you, see someone else. But really, she's worth it.

My husband and I generally prefer either foreign or independent films, but on the rare occasion we want to see something mainstream, we head to Pacific Place. I love that they have parking on-site (uncommon for downtown!), and the theaters are large and comfortable. Though my interactions with them have been limited, the staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Another plus is the many good restaurants on the same level of the mall, so you can really make a nice date night.

I have used DigiLabs for a few print jobs in the past and have been very pleased with their quality. They offer color correction services which I don't utilize (I do my own color work), but I've heard they're spot on.
Instead of having web file transfers you have to go through a downloaded program which isn't the best. I really wish it was more intuitive and less clunky and slow, but it does get the job done.
Turnaround time isn't the quickest, but I will continue to use them because of their results.

My husband and I stopped by Murphy's for the first time on Saturday night. Despite the fact that it was quite busy, we were able to find a nice table and were served quickly. The waitress was very nice and attentive, always refilling my drink and asking if she could get us anything else.
They had an eclectic beer selection, which my husband really appreciated. The appetizer selection was good, a little off-beat and different which was refreshing. We stuck with something safe: chips, salsa and guac. It was excellent.
Prices were reasonable, we'll definitely be back.
