Plan to spend the better part of a whole day at this wonderful aquarium/museum. You will learn all about the aquatic life around the Chesapeake Bay. There is also an outside walking trail that leads to another part of the museum. The Imax theater is a definite must do also. Children and adults will be fascinated. "Petting" the rays is one of the best things to do for all ages.

Ocean Breeze Water Park is a very nice water park. It has a huge gorilla that is seen at the park entrance on General Booth Blvd... there's no way you'll miss this park entrance! They offer plenty of water rides both for kids, teenagers, and adults. There's also a gift shop for souvenirs. The lines are long during the weekends and during the holidays but it's worth the wait. Ocean Breeze Water Park admission is also fairly cheap. We used to spend the whole day here... there are plenty of chairs with umbrellas to sit in so you can literally just relax all day here-- just bring lots of sunblock. Even if you forgot an extra shirt or the sunblock, the gift shop has a variety of items to choose from. This is a great place for those humid days. This is a great place to go to if you're visiting or if you're a local. The nicest thing about this place is that it's close enough to restaurants and to the beach that after a long day at the waterpark, you can go grab lunch/dinner afterwards. We enjoyed this place as kids and now we're enjoying it as adults with our kids!

The Central Library is the best and most complete library in Virginia Beach. They have the most books and they are the largest. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. I personally like to use the Central Library to hold meetings. They have a very large meeting room that is good for groups who need to plan something in a more formal setting.

The Pavilion Convention Center is a very well maintained facility. It is a place for everyone together for conferences, graduations, trade shows, along with consumer shows. This year, they will the annual "Virginia Beach Big Flea Market." If you're a collector of antiques, the Pavilion Convention Center would be a great place to go to from August 26-28. I've been very lucky with finding a couple of things that I fell in love with at the collectible show. There's a fee of $5, but it's worth it.
In the past, I have seen a couple of my siblings graduate from here. It was a pleasant experience. The only thing I would recommend is to be there early to get the best parking spots since there are many students graduating from different schools.

Comic Kings is a place that I have come to love. When I was younger I used to go their almost every weekend to buy a pack of baseball cards or pokemon cards. Having experienced so much success the store itself has expanded. The place has a wide variety of hobby items from sports cards, to magic cards, comics, and all the latest crazes. The store has great management and if you visit enough they will get to know you on a first name basis and give you good deals on what you like to buy.

You know when you are going to a movie with a date, you will really not have an opportunity to talk very much. It is so different at Cinema Cafe. You will see a movie (granted it is older) and actually be able to sit at a table and relatively comfortable seats. You will have a waitress and be able to eat pretty good food too. In the evenings, you can even order beer. It is a very cool place for a date.
Plus, they offer kids movies and great little packages for children and the kids think it is very cool to be able to sit in the chairs and eat and stuff while they watch the movie.
I highly recommend this place!

Want a great place to take the family for no cost? Mount Trashmore Park is the answer. The park holds a number of activities - there is something to please everyone. There is skate park for the daredevils. Kid's Cove is an outdoor jungle gym type area for the younger crowd. There are also bike and jogging trails. There is even a whole mountain to climb and hardly a piece of trash in site.
