Gamers beware 10/6/2005

Wow, what can i say. Chinatown fair may be one of the only arcade store in Lower Manhattan. Even from outside the door, the noise from inside the store can be heard. Inside the store, there are a bunch of people surrounding games, some playing and some watching, especially with DDR. Sometimes, especially in teh summer, the inside may smell a little because well, its fill with guys. At the night time, when you walk past Chinatown fair, there are groups of teenagers hanging outside or sitting on the step of the building next door. more

For Arcades Fanatics 8/29/2005

Chinatown Fair is a small crowded video arcade store. The crowd in here is typically teenagers and is usually crowded during after school hours. It has the popular game Dance Dance Revolution where you stomp on the dance pads while following the arrows on the screen. This arcade usually has a line. There are also the common basic favorites such as pac man, street fighter, tekken, and marvel characters. Another fun feature of this video arcade is the "dancing" chicken and tic tac toe chicken. You put in a quarter and you go against the chicken in tic tac toe. Beware of you are not use to crowds, smoke, and messiness. Also I would suggest keeping your valuables close to you as it can get crowded in here. more

the classic arcade for all ages 8/19/2005

Wow, I’ve been coming to this arcade for over 20 years and when I’m inside I don’t feel a day older then 10. It may seem shady from outside looking in but it’s legit or at least it is nowadays. The atmosphere is simple, a room loaded with games and dim lighting, which is great to avoid the hated glare and also prevents you from seeing the roaches. So if you think you’re good at arcade games, go test out your skills here. They have classic games like Pac-man to Street Fighter to shooter games and of course pinball. Come prepared, bring a bunch of quarters and play away. more

Last of the Arcades! 8/18/2005

One of the few surviving arcades left in New York City, Chinatown Fair is definately a place to visit. Once known for it's tic-tac-toe chicken the arcade has grown up and out to accomodate the new age gamers. With three dance dance revolution machines, four linked super GT racing machines, the latest fighting games, you can always find great competition. The good thing is that it's open late so it's never too late to challenge a buddy in a game of street fighter! more

Arcade 8/17/2005

Chinatown Fair arcade is more commonly known to those that play video games as CTF. This is one of the greatest arcades around for competition. No matter what game you play, on a friday or saturday night there will be tons of great competition everywhere. The only downfall to this great arcade is the fact that it is slightly dirty but besides that it is a great arcade. more

No matter when I come here, it's always packed with people, their chatter, and the sound of the games. It's really loud in there. There are so many games that range from fighting games to DDR. I'm always seeing someone on the DDR machine. It's fun to watch the pros play. It's cheap too. You have to change your money in for come Chinatown Fair coins. It's a must visit. more
