My boss finds out at the last minute that he misplaced his passport and he's leaving for Israel. I show up with his documents on a Thursday at 1:30 and I had his passport in hand and a passport card by Friday at 4:30. Life saver!
Pros: Incredibly helpful, friendly, patient

I can't really add much to the superlatives about the food. It's wonderful. So I'll focus instead on two points that aren't often addressed in reviews I've read.
First, despite the high overall costs, this restaurant is quite a value. The $98 dollar menu brings four courses rather than the usual three and all of them are good sized. That might not matter much to small women but for a large man like me, it's nice not to walk out of a big dinner feeling hungry.
Second, the chairs are really comfortable. This may sound like a minor point, but it's not. When you're settling in for what can easily be a three-hour meal, you can only enjoy it if you're comfy. A shocking number of top dining spots don't seem to understand this.
My one critique: The decoration in the dining room is beginning to look both warn and dated. It's probably time for a refresh.
Pros: Incredible food, excellent service, great value
Cons: decor beginning to look worn

This place is a hot spot. I walked in on a Friday night with no reservations, and got a table in 5 minutes. The place was packed with an energetic crowd that made my experience here 10 times better. To some it up the sake was great, the food was to die for, and the service unbelievable. I wish I could have taken home the chef so i wouldn't have to cook anymore. That's how good the food was.
Recommendation- Sake Black Cod, and Sea Bass
Pros: Food, and Celeb's
Cons: You eventually have to leave

Management at db Bistro Moderne must be reading the reviews on this site because I did not encounter any of the issues that the other reviewers mentioned when I went to dinner last night. I generally hate loud restaurants that turn up the music volume but the first thing that struck me when I walked in was that the place was almost silent despite being packed! Eventually they did turn up the music a bit but it just added to the ambience and did not at all detract from the meal. Also, I was sitting in the back of the restaurant and did not find the tables to be all that cramped - just a typical NYC layout. The food was excellent - my parents who came in from out of town thoroughly enjoyed the meal despite the price. Definitely a worthwhile splurge!
Pros: Food, service, ambience
Cons: Although the price was on the high side, you get what you pay for

After having some mediocre meals during past Restaurant Weeks, I decided to give it another try this summer. My friend and I had reservations for 6:30, and we were seated promptly (yes, it is early by NYC standards so that may have helped). Although many other items looked enticing, we decided to go with the prix fixe menu. The beef carpaccio was excellent! Both of our entrees were also great; neither the fish nor the steak were overdone. Our server was well-mannered, and although we lingered around after dessert until 8:00 when the restaurant was filling up, we were not rushed to settle the check. I have to give props to our server for her patience. She must have been asked a dozen times a night what a hazelnut dacquoise is, but she politely answered our question and gave the same answer to the table next to us when they asked the obligatory question. Overall, great food and great service!
Pros: eclectic menu, good for conversation
Cons: pricy drinks

I have been here twice, once with a group of 4 girls and once with my boyfriend and BOTH times had an excellent night.
It was a saturday and we arrived about 10pm and stayed till the very end.
The music was brilliant and the crowd was great. The dancefloor was filled with a real mixed bunch. I would say this is for over 25's.
The drinks are expensive but well worth it.....Definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic sushi! I came here for dinner with an old friend who frequents this establishment a few times a week. He did all the ordering and my god, it was spot on. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was fantastic. The drinks here were fabulous as well. Very packed place, which is a good sign. Atmosphere was a great vibe. If you want great sushi in midtown, check this place out.
Pros: Sushi

A beautiful hotel in the middle of midtown on the east side. Rooms are expensive, but they are large and the beds are some of the most comfortable I have been in. The Palace has a beautiful lobby and hallways to match. The location behind St. Patrick's Cathedral is ideal for parade goers, Rockefeller Center fans and those who come to the city for the restaurants on the east side. Recommended for luxury accommodations.

I don't know why everyone says bad things about this place... maybe because they aren't used to dining the way Asiate allows you to dine but I adore this restaurant. I went the other day for lunch for my anniversary and made a reservation online. When we arrived they sat us as close to the window as possible, and when someone by the window moved they allowed us to take that table and the view over Central Park was amazing. You feel like you are eating in heaven almost. The food was incredible and they kept giving us complimentary dishes that were terrific (Spinach cheese bread delights & Shrimp in a special light sauce.) Our entree's were the best my boyfriend had the suckling pig & I had the tenderloin. The service is great and the best part was at the end they surprised us (even though i never once spoke to someone at the restaurant) with an amazing chocolate moose cake with strawberry inside and fruits on top and a candle in a strawberry with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate sauce on the side. It was perfect. 125$ at the end for an amazing lunch. (We had appetizers + a few beers also) The prices are VERY affordable if you have the money. I came for a dinner before this and loved it just as much. I will continue to dine at Asiate!
Pros: View, Food, Waiters, Feeling, Everything !
Cons: nothing everyone was polite and the food was amazing.
