I really love this place. I rarely expect to feel educated and extremely turned on at the same time, but that's what happened when I saw current exhibit, "STAGS, SMOKERS, and BLUE MOVIES" at the Museum of Sex. This exhibit not only demonstrates the evolving history of stag films, and the erotically-educational things that many young men (and women) learned from watching such movies. It's also unbearably HOT! My favorite scene is when the woman from an early 20th century film applies cold cream to her you-know-what in order to lubricate and make the sex all the more slinky to watch. It's really shocking to see how explicit people were in the olden days!
Pros: Sexy, Smart, Intimate
Cons: A little expensive

Modern art is not really my style but i can appreciate it as a form of art and therefore think it is a great place to observe it. The MOMA has a great variety and collection of moderm art. One may take it for granted if you have not entered a modern art museum in a different city. You could easily spend a day here and there are often special exhibits that are featured. A must see -- at least once -- even if you don't like modern art so much.

While I lived in Manhattan, I stumbled upon this museum and have been returning to it ever since.
Classic Eurpoean masters have their best works (in my opinion) on display in a private mansion tucked away on 70th Street. From the water garden that greets you to the library that will wow you to the art on display, this is another gem in the museum crown of NYC and not to be missed.
Well worth the extra side trip.

The location of this wonderful museum is in itself worth the visit: it is housed on a retired aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid. The visitor can wander around looking at how the sailors and pilots lived on the ship during its time of commission in World War II and up to Vietnam. On the deck and in the plane holds, the museum displays decommissioned aircraft that flew in various wars, as well as spy aircraft. In fact, the A-12 Blackbird is one of the main draws of the museum.
To top it off, the museum has recently added to its collection the legendary supersonic civilian aircraft Concorde, offered to the museum by British Airways.
Additionally, the submarine USS Growler also forms part of the museum. There, visitors can get a good feeling of the cramped quarters and claustrophobic conditions that were the norm in World War II conventional submarines.
I would vote this one of the best air and space displays around.

..to retrace your tv memories. They have these little cubicles where you can view up to three tapes. You put the tapes into a VCR and view these old memories in any category you can dream up. I've watched old soap episodes, beginning episodes too. It's also a treasure trove of early kinescopes and archival episodes of your favorite TV memories. What a wonderful thing.

I go here every few years. A perfect place to hybernate in the rain. You get to see wax figures of numerous celebrities in a party room at cocktail hour. I saw Julia Roberts, Barack Pbama, Brad Pott, Angelina Jolie, Susan Surrandon, Jodie Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer I think, Elle McPhearson, Paris Hilton, (eventhough I met that snob for real) Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, The Olsen Twins, Britney Spears, Hannah Montana, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, J.Lo, Jonas Brothers, Bon Jovi, Gloria Estefan, Jackie Kennedy's ghost, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Lincoln, Washington, Rosa Parks, Hellen Keller, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, The channel 4 news/weather people, and even Ivanka Trump..................
Pros: A lively place, pictures allowed you even get to see madame
Cons: Prices are skyhigh and getting raised by the year

AMAZING! I really enjoyed the food...the crab cakes are to die for and the beef wellington is fantastic. My friend got the Beef Roast which was also delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions on price fixe that changes weekly. Can only imagine the the menu. We also asked to see the lunch menu which is different from the dinner to find out that every week Fraunces Tavern offers a $20.09 three course price fixe to be as good as the normal food and for such a good price we are eager to return. Although we only dined in the restaurant side we peeked in the bar which has a back room with a pool table. Seems like a great place to have drinks with a group of friends and enjoy pool. I highly recommend it!
Pros: Great food and historical ambiance
