This store is probably one of the worst. The only thing that makes it ok are the prices. Everything is cheap. Now on to the horrible. The place is a pigsty. Clothes are thrown on the floor, items are open, things are dirty or dusty. It's poorly managed. Many of the things are cheap in terms of how they are made. They have bags, clothing, makeup, toys, and such. Even the makeup looks old. Just be careful what you buy here is the only warning I can give you.

This place is great for kids of any age. It's a bit of a walk from the train station. When you get there, you'll get to see so many different animals. They put in a new exhibit to see animals like jellyfishes. They have penguins, a whale, monkeys, fishes, the whole nine yards. They have eating areas too for class trips. Some of the places stink due to the animal's natural odor. You are guaranteed a great time here.

It's a small theater company in the lower east side. They usually have one night special shows. I went to a reading and thoroughly enjoyed it. They put on a lot of different shows and readings during the year.
When you get there, it could be confusing as they own two buildings. One is where you buy the tickets and the offices, most likely. The other has the stage(s). Tickets for shows aren't all that expensive. Most are about 20 dollars. There are group discounts, and I believe student discounts.

Halfway between 47th and 48th street, you'll find this store. Inside is kind-of dim, but you can easily see they have tons of stuff. Whatever you need they will have. (Screws, screwdivers, different parts, etc) It's aisles of stuff on shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. They also put things in bins outside to sell. During the Christmas season, you'll see a drunk dancing Santa in their display window. It shows they have a sense of humor. It's great for a quick fix.

This store is located inside the Time Warner Center. It takes up the entire bottom level. There's a vast array of fresh produce. The price has been greatly inflated. It's higher than other stores. It's probably because it's in the Time Warner Center. There is a bakery, cafe, etc inside. They sell flowers too.

There are two sections to this guitar store. They have other stores for drums and wind instruments. I haven't been in there. Anyway, One "room" has a bunch of acoustics, and the other has electric with the accessories. The staff are so friendly and knowledgable. You can ask the any question and not feel stupid asking them. They have a large collection of guitars, so I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

It takes a while to get to this bowling alley as you have to walk past other areas of Chelsea Piers. It's cheaper than Bowlmar, but it isn't the cheapest. They have this extreme bowling where the balls glow and the lanes light up. It's bowling in the dark. It adds more fun to the game. Also there is a bar and "restaurant" inside. There's also an arcade game area. What's really fun is the DDR machine they have. They also have this deal where you can bowl and have an all you can eat ice cream thing. Never tried it, but hread it was great. That might be fun for large groups.

The glasses and contacts are fairly priced. It might be cheaper, since it's in Chinatown. It's a nice open space to browse through. It's not large but it's big enough to not feel squashed. It's clean, bright with cute decorations in the kid's section. I have to say that the optometrist doesn't seem all that excited to do his job. It also takes a while to get an eye exam, since so many people go there.
