Dorit Baxter is the perfect spa getaway. Located in midtown on the west side of Manhattan, Dorit Baxter makes your forget about all of the noise and traffic and fast paced life we live in New York City. They have the best facials ever, a sea salt body scrub to die for, and full body massage that will leave you in wonderland. I LOVED IT and would recommend any and everyone to Dorit Baxter. You will definitely enjoy yourself and it's worth every penny.

I love this place the people who do my eyebrows and my nails (Sabina, and Lana) they do a great job on my nails and eyebrows, the prices there are very reasonable. There's a lot of people who go here to get their nails done. I even see guys get manicures and pedicures, yeah I know guys might think it's gay but what do they know? Guys don't know anything , they don't even care really, they don't care how messed up their cuticles are. Us women know it's nice to pamper ourselves every now and then and it's healthy for our nails.They do a great job doing nails and waxing.

I was in a lot of pain but I felt so much better after the first visit! It took a couple of visits before completely resolving. Now I'm back to running and now I also know how to keep from reinjuring myself.
This was the one place that I felt the therapist really listened and took corrective action rather than just giving me a plain old relaxation massage.
I continue to go especially after a tough training session. Massage and sports nutrition are my secret weapons in my goal to complete my first marathon!

Oasis is one of the better day spas in Manhattan. The Park Avenue location has a serene and tranquil environment and attentive staff. I do believe that some of their "spa" services are overpriced for what you get. I found the manicure and pedicures to be on par with the $7 places and esthetician who did my facial did not want to do extractions...even though they were included. The facility has a relaxing, coed waiting room and nice changing facilities. A nice way to spend an afternoon.

Our company recently had a health and wellness day and part of the special offerings was a 15 minute stress break. There were 4 massage therapists from The New York Massage Company perfoming chair massage.
They were wonderful! My co-workers and I agreed that all the therapists had a unique soothing personal style not often found at chair massage events. They even brought I-Pods with speakers to enhance the experience with soft music.
Definitly thumbs up for The New York Massage Company
