We had our company night out at Jillian's on a Tuesday. We had a lot of fun playing pool. They have plenty of nice, high quality tables. However, the food and beer service was incredibly slow (it wasn't because of crowds either).
I don't know if this is standard or not, but I wouldn't be inclined to play there again.

I have never seen the old location that La Spiga was in, but the new space is absolutely gorgeous. Extensive modern woodwork through out, warehouse height ceilings, and multiple open levels make for a very impressive interior.
The food was quite tasty. I had a beef fillet drizzled with white truffle oil atop yukon mashed potatoes - very, very good.
There were a few service slip ups here and there, but none that really deteriorated the experience.
I'd highly recommend La Spiga.

I had read plenty of reviews of Tamarind Tree on Judy's Book, so there is almost no way that it could be called a hidden gem. However, it is tucked behind a random plaza in a not so neighborhoody section of the ID, and if you hadn't heard of the Tamarind Tree, there is no way that you'd stop.
The food was spectacular. The service was good, but not standout, and the decor was very inviting in a modern way.
I don't think I have much to add to the large body of review knowledge out there, other than:
Try the guava martini - very good.

I saw a brilliant show at the Triple Door (Showgirls, narrated by David Schmader), but this review isn't about the show, it's about the Triple Door.
To start the food is prepared by Wild Ginger - enough said.
As opposed to the classic theater layout, the Triple Door is really a collection of booths in a theater. Just about every booth is comfortable spacious and has a great view of the stage.
The staff are very friendly and do a great job not being noticed during the shows.
Overall, a great place and a ton of fun.

There aren't really any good Bistro's in the Fremont / Wallingford area. I've been disappointed on several occasions, and was disappointed again at Smash Wine Bar & Bistro.
Their wine selection is really strong, and their pours are generous (6oz for a glass, 3oz for a taster). We enjoyed their cheese plates and salumi meats plate. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed the crisp, but warm interior. I was a bit surprised when my wife ordered "the Riesling Sampler", and was forced to clarify for the waiter that she really wanted the "Feeling Fruity" flight.
The menu was one that I wanted to love, but we were unfortunately both disappointed with the two entrees (actually called small plates, but big enough for an entree). We tried the paella and the braised lamb. Both featured mild, but unsubtle flavors that left us fairly underwhelmed.
The dessert menu also read incredibly well, but the vanilla bourbon creme brulee was unspectacular.

Stumbling Goat was recommended by a friend that described the cuisine as 'seasonal', which didn't tell me anything other than the ingredients would be fresh.
Their menu is based on food that is in season in Washington. It is a mix of French Bistro and New American cuisine. They regularly feature a Wagyu beef dish and have a some sort of local poultry.
The food is simply spectacular. We had mussels and mini-Wagyu burgers as an appetizer. I had a leg of lamb over steamed bean shoots that was awesome. Others at our table enjoyed a braised beef and the rabbit. All the dishes were incredibly good.
The interior was simple with a kind of nouveau-country feel. The service was great, appropriately timing the meal and allowing us to set the pace of the evening.

I stayed two nights at the "A Summer House Inn", which is kind of hard to use in a sentence, but otherwise an enjoyable destination.
The 'Inn' has a distinct non-chain feel. The staff are friendly, they have a cute kitchen and breakfast area and the rooms were clean.
I have to admit though, that I couldn't stop laughing at the motor boat sandbox in the play area (see the photos on the website). Apparently the kids love it!

I had a great steak meal at Daniel's Broiler. The cuts are beautifully displayed through a glass window in a display refrigerator near the entrance. The decor is open and spacious with great views out over Lake Union (call ahead to sit at the window seats).
We had a slight inconsistency in doneness of the steaks we ordered. My 12oz rib eye was on the medium side of medium rare, while a NY Strip was on the rare side of medium rare. No real issues and they were quick to fix the undercooked steak.
We found the service to be a bit too practiced inpersonal.
Still, overall a great experience and a recommended stop for steak lovers.

The experience at Mistral was impeccable. The service was attentive, the interior nicely understated, but the food stood out.
Ordering at Mistral is really quite easy. You simply have two decisions to make: 7 courses or 8? and with wine pairing or without. The rest of the decisions are handled by the chef.
Each course comes delicately and flavorfully prepared. The courses each worked in several very distinct, but complimentary flavors that were often expressed in drops of sauce or a flavored foam.
The meal was the most expensive I've had in Seattle by far, but it also was the best meal by far.

We enjoyed sitting outside on the small patio, although the interior was both cute and warm.
We greatly enjoyed the cured meats plate, which featured several carefully cured meats, and also gave us our first excuse to try beef tongue. Our group sampled several dishes, but the standout was certainly the grilled chicken with sausage. The pork leg was a little mealy and difficult to eat through.
