The Brooklyn Grinder makes a good sandwich. Obviously I had the TBS, an old standard. The turkey was sliced nice and thin and the Bacon was crisp, but could have been a bit thicker. The sandwich was served on a hard roll which was a little small for my taste, but the flavor and texture of it were great. It came with a choice of chips, pasta salad and a third option that didn't sound good enough for me to remember. I went with the chips. Tims cascade plains. After seeing the pasta salad I wish I would have chosen it. Serves me right for making the safe choice.
Oh well, the sandwich was very good, pasta salad or not, and over all the experience was very good. I'll be back.
Oh yeah, they have strawberry Fanta. Big up!

In just about ever city or town in America you can get a quality burger. In Seattle you have quite a few options, so it baffles me that a place like this can survive. The burgers have almost no flavor, the fries are boring and they make the shakes by putting soft serve in a blender. Do us all a favor and don't go here, that way something new can open up in the space.
Good day.

I finally got to Super Bowl tonight and I'm glad I did. For some reason it's taken me forever to try it. Well the verdict is in: great food, great service...and you don't have to wait all day like you do at Thai Tom. I love Thai Tom, but Super Bowl has a great menu, friendly folks and a little more leg room. I had the kee mow (sp?) noodles and they were excellent. I like it spicy so I ordered 4 stars, the spice was perfect. The noddles weren't too mushy and the veggies were nice and crisp.
Oh yeah, fried wantons for an app = excellent.
Good day.

It came with fruit, cole slaw or potato salad. I chose the fruit cuz I'm pretty much repulsed by everything that has mayo based sauce. I also got a side of these fry/chip things that were kinda like cross cut tater tots. EXCELLENT! SUPER EXCELLENT! I have chosen to call them Freedom Discs, so I expect the rest of you to follow suit.
The sandwich was like the size of a football. I think the best way to eat it would have been with two pairs of tongs and a electric knife, I used a fork, my teeth and intestinal fortitude.
I will definitely go back here, I'm a big sandwich fan and this place comes with the goods.
I'm starting to get my review swagger back. Thank you Tylenol.
Good day.

Let me preface this (I think I preface every review) by saying that I'm from Seattle, and am somewhat of a thai food snob. I went into Thai Smile with low expectations, since it seems there are only a couple thai restaurants in the desert. I was pleasantly surprised.
First thing I noticed as a I walked up was a separate pick up window, very well done. I hate it when you go to a restaurant that does heavy to-go business and you have to wade through all the people just to get to the host.
The wait: About 10 minutes, which was fine by me since we didn't have any reservations.
Service: A little rushed. The table behind us said "Hey Justin, how about that food we ordered? Justin time to get us our dinner, huh?" Now, I've worked in restaurants, and I know what these folks' food had coming to it. It wasn't gonna be pretty...or hygienic, but it was gonna be funny.
Food: A very pleasant surprise. I had to ask for the spice rack so I could add red pepper because they definitely tone down the spice around hear to cater to their clientèle. The vegetables were crisp and the noodles weren't over cooked. Overall it was not great, but a solid offering.
Good day.

We started with some ribs. They were ok, a little short on meat and the sauce was a little sweet for my taste. Since they didn't have machaca, I went with the old standard, the shredded beef chimichanga for my entrée. It was good, it really was, but it just wasn't what I have come to expect from Las Casuelas. Maybe they are struggling to live up to their high expectations, maybe not, but it just wasn't quite as good as I expected.
All and all a solid 3 stars, but their Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage locations are far superior in my opinion.
Good day.

We needed a place that was less than 80 bucks a night but didn't require a bed check before we laid down and this best Western seemed to fit the bill.
The best part was the waffle bar. That's right, I said a waffle bar. You can head down to the lobby/lounge make yourself a waffle, have a bowl of cereal, cold or hot, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. You have your choice of eating at the clean, modern tables while watching the flat panel playing spanish soap operas or take your chow back to your room.
If you're looking for a fancy spot, this ain't it but it's definitely a 4 star experience in a 3 star package.
Good day.

We were definitely the only paying customers in the joint under the age of 63. I saw a couple that appeared to be on their anniversary toasting their water glasses.
The decor is some sort of mid-60's swiss mountain lodge? Maybe? It ruled.
The split pea soup was awesome. It was all you can eat, I had a bowl and a half. If I wasn't about to pass out face first into my bowl I probably would have slurped down three. You can order sides for like an extra 2 bucks so I ponied up. It was chopped ham, bacon, onions and croûtons. I used ham and onions. Good stuff. I can't believe I remember all this.
Our waiter was great and you pay up front, which I'm always a fan of in road trip situations.
I really wish I could post photos w/this review. We got some great ones.
Good day.

BUT.....they delivered to my hotel room. This is huge after all day on the road. I was exhausted and I needed a meal to match the Cops reruns on TV. The pie from New York Pizza did just that. So 3 stars.
Good day.
