I have been getting my Brazilian wax from Chani (now co-owner) since she started at Bella Skin a million years ago when it was under management of it's first owner. After changing ownership once and losing it's charm a the hands of some insane people, Chani and her partner Trina bought the place and have restored the integrity that made me a loyal Bella Skin client in the first place.
I live in Brooklyn and make it a point to return to Newton, MA every six weeks for my wax. It may seem extreme given that there are plenty of places to get waxed in NYC but I can tell you that the Jay Sisters have nothing on Chani and Trina!!!! They give me a perfect wax, virtually pain-free thanks to the wax they use, each and every time!!!!! Thanks ladies!!!!
Pros: They don't double dip their sticks, warm & wonderful staff.
Cons: They are in MA, I live in NYC yet I still get waxed there...

I tried it with wife and friends this past weekend. I loved the place. The food was excellent, service no problem, and a wonderful atmosphere. The chef greeted us at our table and prepared some wonderful food. We will go back. Truly a delight in our opinion.
Pros: very good food, nice atmosphere, good service
Cons: it's small (but cozy)

I've been going to Christine's for years and couldn't be happier with the place. The staff is first class and the atmopshere is warm and friendly. I go regularly for electrolysis, microdermabrasion, facials and massage, and love all the services I get. If you want a "factory" this isn't the place for you - it has a family-like feel to it that is very inviting. I highly recommend it!

Had one of the best, tastiest, and most memorable meals here. It was a couple of years ago, so I can't offer too many details...but the fact I can remember it says something. We had the lamb shank and it was "off the hook" to quote our funny waitress. The service was great, the place was cozy, and like I said, the food is excellent (the kind of meal you remember years down the line!). I hope things haven't changed (although we went some time ago, it is possible things aren't as they were for our experience).

I had lunch at Bill's last week and it was great. I tried a couple different slices and they all were delicous. I strongly recommend trying the chicken ranch pizza, it tasted great and the slices were huge. This place is fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

We rarely make it out to eat outside of our South End-North End-Back Bay comfort zone and were rather hesitant when friends invited us to join them at Pava in Newton Center. We thought it might be another suburban horror with bored couples eating anything grateful to be away from their 2.6 children and Volvo for the night...but we were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is a little stark but for the space is welcoming and stylish- as was the hostess and the owner who made a point of greeting us. The menu is brief but we were impressed by the deep complex flavors of the duck and the smelt appetizers and the lamb and sole entrees. The wine list is decent and the mark ups bearable- we had an enjoyable pinot noir without feeling we were being fleeced. The wait staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We did not have room for dessert but will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
