Excellent Comic Book Store 12/31/2005

For huge comic book nerds who want the books, the figurines, the magnets and the movies. Here is your place, and it's hard to beat. Located off Lexington, you may have to look a bit to make sure you dont' pass it by, but don't be discouraged. You'll find many gems here that are going to be hard to come by in the midwest. That makes your trip to NYC worth it! They have a very impressive collection of current issues along with a huge selection of comics and graphic novels. If you need collectible figurines, go to the top floor. From movie characters to all of your old, favorite comic heroes. For movies, they had several things that had only been released in Japan, so they've got connections. Don't pass up taking a look at all the movies from the US, too. They've got everything that ever involved a comic book character. And there is another location in Times Square. more

If you're in midtown and waiting to meet up with a friend, you can always drop by this store. There are two floors of comics and they also sell toys. They have plenty of comics to choose from for the hardcore collector or just the average joe who still enjoys graphic novels from time to time. They get four stars for their large selection. more

Consider a Comic or 2 for an interesting gift 8/12/2005

For a colleague or old college friend for whom you want to get a bit of the unusual for - why not think about a vintage comic book! They have such an inventory here that you are bound to find one that clicks with nostalgia - be in an Archie comic, or superman, or spiderman. The prices reflect the rarity and the condition, but you will be providing a quite interesting conversation piece! more

the other mega midtown store 7/26/2005

Midtown Comics is right down the block from Times Square and has an excellent mix of new comics and toys. The store is large with plenty of room to move about in. They have a decent older comics section and have a whole second floor devoted to toys and statues. They also have every book in print that has something to do with comics. A truly great comic shop. more

Comics Comics Comics 7/7/2005

Everything that is new and is comic book related makes an appearance here. Comic books , toys based on comic book characters and art portfolios are all on display here. They also have a nice selection of back issues but before 1980 or so thier selection is a bit spotty. The service is top notch and they have nice long hours which make shopping a snap. more
