After 8 years of bad haircuts and dye jobs I have finally found my "soul" hair salon! Anotoni Prieto Salon is amazing in every aspect! Kristen is an expert colorist and took my hair from being way too red to a gorgeous brunette with a sun kissed blond look! Nick gave me the most fabulous cut- he took his time and got to know me and therefore gave me a perfect and beautiful cut for my lifestyle. The Kerastase products are amazing and the entire staff is friendly. Antonio Prieto Salon may give you celebrity looks but you don't have to be a celebrity to feel welcome! Jasellynne does a fantastic job with cutting hair. She is artistic and fun to be around. She does beautiful hair while making you feel comfortable. Defiantly ask for Jasellynne if you want a haircut that is amazing. You will get compliments on your hair in the street constantly, and that's a promise. more

I left my salon over a year ago after feeling like I had been neglected for sometime. I felt like my hair was never up to par. After spotting Antonio Prieto Salon which was right across from my husband's workplace I decided to give it a try. I was extremely comfortable the moment I walked in the door and received top notch service. All of the staff is very pleasant and always approachable if you have any questions. They immediately introduced me to Brian Zinno who I felt at ease with right away and he explained what would be the best style for me and length. I was very pleased with the results and refuse to go anywhere else now as he has managed to bring my hair back to life. Now I don't have to worry about styling my hair constantly since he's brought back my natural wave as well. I recommend Brian very highly as he's extremely professional, has a great personality and he gives really good suggestions especially if you are looking for a change. more

Never before have I experienced such talented work and professionalism, and I am sure that no other salon in New York can hold a candle to AP. Before I came here, if I let my hair grow longer than an inch I would be left with a thick, poofy mess. From my first cut, my hair has been skillfully and precisely cut so I am able to grow it long or short and maintain the look. When I ask for product recommendations, no one tries to sell me products I do not need, but rather gives me just what I need to maintain my cut perfectly. Brian has my complete trust and knows exactly how to incorporate my personal style into my cut, and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for the best haircut they can get. Pros: great products, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, most talented people Cons: my hair doesn't grow fast enough so I can go there more often more

Kristin is the most incredible colorist out there. Her work is fit to be shown on the head of any celebrity. She has taken me from dark brown (my natural color), to gorgeous buttery blonde, and back to a perfectly highlighted brown- all with minimal damage done to my hair and each time looking better than the last. I have had horrible coloring experiences in the past and was hesitant to get back in the saddle, and now I cannot get enough of Kristin's artistic coloring jobs. Like I said, I am perfectly comfortable walking into the salon now and leaving my hair completely in the hands of these experts, and I trust that each time I will leave delighted with the outcome. I was smiling and shaking my locks as the colors glistened. She is a talent and a gifted colorist. She is sweet and patient, checks with you on how you are doing and very hospitable. My second visit is coming up and I can't wait. Pros: Thumbs up more

Not only do I love the way my hair turned out (bye bye gray), I've been stopped by strangers telling me how good my hair looks and how well it suits me! The part I really love is that Danica used this really cool foiling technique so I can comb it one way and look professional for work and then comb it another way for a more fashion forward look. I've been going to a colorist since I was 17 years old and have been to my share of New York salons. I am happy to report that Angela Taormino, the color director at Antonio Prieto, is responsible for the most amazing hair color and cut I've ever had. Women know that working with a stylist is a tricky thing: you want someone who sees your vision and creates something you can execute at home and you want someone who has the vision to see your hair's potential. Angela is that person. Equally adept at amazing color and uber-flattering cuts, she has actually instructed me in how to work with my hair so I can recreate (to a point because I am no hair stylist) the look and feel of gorgeous hair. I have never received as many compliments on my hair as I have since going to Angela. As long as I live in New York, I will go to her. Jasellynne has been cutting and styling my hair for years. She's amazing. I live in Connecticut and travel to New York just to have her do my hair. When I can't get to Antonio Prieto my hair suffers. I honestly have never had a better cut than when Jasellynne cuts my hair. I can't say enough great things about her. She's the BEST!! I highly recommend Antonio Prieto Salon. And ask for Jasellynne!! Jasellynne Brown is by far one of the most talented, friendly, and helpful hairstylists I've ever been to! I've been to so many salons both in NYC and LA and I'm so happy that a business associate referred me to Jassellynne because I had years and years of disappointing haircuts and hairdressers for that matter. In hindsight, I'm now so happy that a horrible haircut on the upper east side (I won't mention the salon!) prompted me to ask my associate, whose hair looks fabulous, who did her hair. She gave me Jasellynne's information but I was hesitant of contacting her because of so many bad hair experiences so instead of just booking a haircut appointment I booked a consultation. I was so pleased with her friendly demeanor and her desire to really want to make me happy. I'm definately not used to hairdressers actually listening to their clients. At the point in time when I started going to Jasellynne my hair was in horrible condition. I have fine yet coarse hair and the last hairdresser I went to actually thinned my air so it was a mess! I had always wanted to get extensions but I saw some awful extensions in the past. Jasellynne sugessted that I should think of extensions but I was a little hesitant. I was nervous but she made me feel so comfortable so I thought I would take a chance and get the extensions.And it was one of the best things I could have done to boost my confidence and I can't believe all the compliments I get. I love my extensions so much that I want to continue getting them as long as I can.!Thanks Jasellynne you are the best! more
