BEST HAIR SALON IN NYC 5/4/2009

I am so happy with both my color and cut from this salon. I happened upon them last Summer and it was the best thing that could have happened to my hair! My colorist is Kristine N. and the stylist is Jasellyne. Both are amazing. They do exactly what you want while ensuring that it is in the best interest for your hair and the best possible look for you! I couldn't be happier!! I have been using Antonio for cuts and Lawrence for color for years now and they are simply the best. Once I discovered them, I was able to stop worrying about my hair because it always looks good. Everyone there is extremely friendly and it makes for a great atmosphere. They truly are wonderful. Pros: great cuts and color, friendly staff Cons: none more

I have been to many salons but this one by far is the best! My color and highlights have never looked so great! My hair is healthy. Angela is a gem for coloring. Not for nothing but the hair stylists and colorists are absolutely amazing. Whenever I want a change they know exactly what I want!! Its mind blowing!! Pavel has been cutting my hair for a almost two years, and he never ceases to amaze me. The entire staff works impeccably and meticulously to make sure the experience is way above PHENOMENAL. If you want fabulous hair go nowhere else, but Antonio Prieto!! Pros: Excellent Staff, products, and service Cons: none more

The best salon in the city 4/11/2009

I've been to many salons over the last decade. I never wanted to come back to the same one for a haircut. This is the third time I used John Fitje at Antonia Prieto Salon and it's the third time i think i got an excellent haircut. Last few times, I was going for completely different styles and last time, I decided i wanted a new look again and had my hair (that was past my shoulder blades) cut all the way up to my chin. Quite frankly, I was nervous that it wouldn't work for me but because the last two haircuts here were so excellent, I relied on John Fitje to make it work. He did an excellent job! And everyone has been giving me non-stop complements on it ever since I got it! Pros: EXCELLENT more

Fantastic Dan! 3/26/2009

I was a little hesitant to move from the salon I had been going to for years to Antonio Prieto Salon. But right after Dan Islava had cut my hair and I had walked out of the salon, I was sure that I made the right decision. My hair fell perfectly into place from day one and four weeks later -- it still looked fresh (my hair grows fast so this is a feat)! I was able to wait eight weeks before I needed a refresh, the cut was that good! I am so happy that I took the suggestion to try this salon, I am so lucky that the salon set me up to see Dan. I also get my hair colored there (two colorist have taken care of me so far and they have both done a great job!). I am one happy client! I cannot wait to have my friends go there as well! more

When I moved to NYC 10 years ago, I tried all of the best salons and was glad Antonio Prieto was on my list because of their head colorist, Angela. She has been doing my blonde highlights for about 5 years now and many of my friends (blondes and brunettes) are now seeing her, too. The quality of the highlights is amazing--completely natural looking, great dimension and she really studies your coloring, hair condition and haircut to ensure that you are getting what you want. She has also helped me improve on the healthiness of my long hair by putting me on a Kerastase product and haircut regimen.
