Best

This sports superstore offers a broad selection.

Worst

Paragon has been justly praised as offering a great selection and is one of the biggest sporting stores in NYC. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years the service in particul...

What a shame! Coulda , shoulda, don't think they woulda... 6/22/2008

As a person who has been shopping there for over 14 years, I now only go there as a last resort. Pros: great selection of products and brands-best in lower Manhattan Cons: high prices, lousy/ uncaring service with attitude more

ignorant teenage salesmen 12/27/2006

The salespeople in the snowboard department are teenage boys who are too clueless to work in askateboard shop in the east village. Every other word out of my salesman's mouth was a swearword, and he was not knowledgable at all. Ridiculous. I'd rather shop at a prison gift shop. Pros: it sells snowboard stuff Cons: busy, bad salespeople, mediocre selection more

HUGE MISTAKE - Do Not Do It - Rude staff 1/26/2006

I took the ski shuttle from Paragon to Hunter Mtn. I'm a ski enthusiast and live in NYC. I used to keep a car in NYC and was able to ski wherever I wanted. I no longer have my ride so I decided to give Paragon's shuttle a try. HUGE MISTAKE! The staff were late, rude and incompetent. We left NYC almost an hour late (All passengers were seated on the bus waiting for them to get it together). Once there, I had a great time. The trip back was just as frustrating as the ride up. The late staff appeared to be intoxicated. ( Dude, it's ok to have a few beers at the lodge, but hey...we're waiting .....) I'll definitely rent a car from now on and wont put up with the really poor attitudes of the staff, the unexplained delays and, worst of all, the frustration) Cons: rude, incompetent, lateness more

Rude salespeople 9/5/2005

I went down to Paragon for the first time today. Although they seemed to have a lot of variety, the salespeople that I encountered were terrible. One had no idea what he was talking about and the other one was extremely rude. I won't be back. Cons: sales people more

Everything under the Sun 8/19/2002

From water sports to winter sports - you'll find it all here. Great selection, friendly staff and promt check out. Get there during the end of season sales for the best values. more

Candy Store 8/8/2002

Paragon provides the widest choice of quality gear accross the spectrum of sports and outdooe activities. There are sometimes better places to go if you are looking for a specific sport, but if you are just shopping, or don't want to go to a specialty store - this is the place. Except for the sales, the prices are not the best, but you are assured of quality products, and the service and selection are outstanding. more
