This is the best restaurant that I have ever been to. Its very pricey, but it is so worth it. The food is outstanding and the service is very accommodating and efficient. Reservations is a must!! It gets so crowded, but this should definitely be the first on your list of restaurants to dine at. more

I love Nobu! For any special occasion and if you have a hundred bucks to spend this is the place to spend it on. Try the Chef's special and Morimoto will design a ten course meal specially designed to delight you. We were feeling glamorous on a Tuesday and stopped in for a late lunch. With the restaurant almost all to ourselves we sat and ate ourselves full through the most delicious ten course meal...best food I have ever had. more

Nobu is one of the best Japanese restaurants in New York City. A place that boasts Robert DeNiro as part owner and Iron Chef Morimoto as ex-head chef, this place has to be good. You should really try the broiled black cod with miso; it really is as good as everyone says. The only gripe I have about this place is that you have to make reservations some time in advance because this place is always full of customers. They are accomodating though; once they lost my reservations, but they still let us in. You must try Nobu when you have the money, it's delicious. more

Nobu is world famous for a good reason - it is amazing. It is probably the undisputed best sushi in the city. However, with great power comes great responsibility. So in order to enjoy the pleasure of dining at Nobu, it is necessary to plan way in advance because reservations are not easy to come by. Additionally, the prices are high once you get there - and the portion sizes are not very large. So it is great sushi, but expensive and there isn't a lot of it. Still, it's amazing! more

This restaurant really is as good as everyone says. The quality of the sushi is beyond excellent, and the menu items are perfection and the ability to have the chef present with a series of small selections suiting your tastes is wonderful. The room is impeccable and the service is also excellent. I must also recommend the deserts here, which are subtle and refined in tastes and beautiful and innovative to look at. more

Awesome dining experience. I give this restaurant the highest ratings possible. We put our meal in the hands of the chef and our server as suggested! Brilliant idea. We told them our likes and dislikes and they produced a meal that was exquisite. Server Megan - request her! Perhaps the greatest Japanese restaurant in New York City and certainly the most innovative. Don't wimp out and order the usual sushi. more

Robert DeNiro knew what he was doing when he opened this restaurant (I can't say the same for some of his movie choices). He's a co-owner with Drew Nieporent and others. Nobu is the place to be on a Thursday through Saturday night. It's always crowded, there's always a wait and one can never secure a reservation at a normal dinner time unless you book a month in advance or your name happens to be Madonna, Ashley Olsen or Jude Law (yes, they've all eaten here recently). The wonderful dishes are the main draw as well as the potential excitement of seeing a celebrity. I have to say I've had better sushi elsewhere but the classic Nobu dishes are what bring me back - yellowtail sashimi with jalepeno, black cod with miso, the list goes on and on. It's not terribly expensive either if you don't drink that much and stick to tap. Believe me, it's worth it and if you can't get in to Nobu, then try Next door nobu, same great dishes with less atitude and a hipper, younger vibe. They also have takeout at next door, yum! more

Nobu is a grea restuaraunt owned by no other than robert deniro. And what do you xpect of a restuarent by robert deniro. A restuarant filled with people like him. STARZ! at one night you might find... Muhamed Ali, Jay Z, Harvey Kytel, John Mayer, and more. But finding stars is not the only great thing about this restuant. THey also have fantastic food. This is a see and be seen type of restaurant co-owned by Robert DeNiro (he lives nearby). Nobu is located in Tirbeca, near the southern tip of Manhattan. It's on a busy street with other stores and shops nearby but usually this area is pretty desolate especially on the weekends. The dishes at Nobu are legendary and often copied; but none are as good as the original. Must haves include: the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, the rock shrimp tempura (you must order it with the creamy spicy sauce), the black cod with miso (so good it melts in your mouth), the lobster salad (pricy but worth it) and the bento box for dessert - choclate molten cake - yum. You're almost guaranteed a long wait so you can try Next door nobu too (same food, more casual and younger crowd). Don't be surprised to see a celebrity or two; the Olsen twins love this place. more

I've been to Nobu three times for lunch, because even the lunch specials are worth the trip. The quiet, white-washed exterior belies the exotic and fancy restaurant. If you go during lunch, a $20 prix fixe gives you the tastes of top-quality sushi/sashimi - experiencing the delicious menu without breaking your budget. If you decide to stray from that menu, I highly recommend the black cod entree, still not too expensive and a word-of-mouth favorite. Whatever you do, don't forget the Mocci ice cream at the end - you'll be recommending it to all of your friends. more

hi guys, i visited famous nobu for my first time yesterday evening. it was our anniversary, and i am so happy we choses nobu, it is the best dinner i had for long time. my wife eat the rib eye, it was soft as butter and came with 3 wonderful authentic souses. i had the surprise of the chef, it is an 80$-$120 deal, include many creative dishes made by the chef, u never know what you will get. but trust me you will enjoy it. it isn't a cheap place, but its has cozy atmosphere and great food. more
