Used to be THE favorite place to get your birthday as a kid, Veniero's has amazing desserts and wonderful Birthday cakes. Very old school Italian desserts, I highly recommend the cheesecakes and canolli.. leave your gun at home. Service isn't so great since they are so busy but its got good energy and nothing beats their sweet cream.

Macaroni au Gratin, Ham and Guyure on a Baguette, a dizzying selection of oysters, and a great wine list, I love this place after hours ona wednesday night. Service is a bit haughty but its a french bistro! You should expect no less.

California Wok is the only restaurant that delivers to my apartment so we tried it one night. With a $15 minimum for delivery we ordered General Tso's Chicken and garlic chicken with fried rice. The rice was ok, the garlis was decent but worst General tso's I have ever tasted. Ok in a pinch but try somewhere else for real chinese.

Great Chicken and lamb Gyros. If you want great Greek food at a cheap price, this place is it. Usually full on weekends, but quiet during the week, service is unusually slow with only two waitresses. Lots of UH students as its located right off the campus on University but good location close to a few bars. Hummus is to die for.

Turned out great and the tips that people provide from other reviews are even more valuable. Check out the ratings system and they are pretty reliable. Best recipe is Pulled BBQ pork two-ways. Delish!

It’s a nice family style Italian restaurant with redvand white checked table clothes and very nice servers. However, the food was not at all what I was expecting. Having heard rave reviews from everyone about the place, I was surprisingly disappointed at the quality of the food. It was quite bland and tasted like they had just drenched the pasta in olive oil to give it taste. Insanely large portions of tasteless food.

One of my favorites, they have a great selection of Japanese Food. TRy the sashimi, incredibly fresh and you get a good sized portion unlike many places that serve just a few pieces. Favorite dish is chirashi, with an excellent temnpering or vinegar in the rice. Just like in Japan. Great atmosphere, lots of tourists and locals.

Have been going to Tartine's for over a decade and have slowly seen it gain in popularity. Always busy but friendly waiters and of course, delicious food! My favorite is the Avocado chicken -- comes with a large serving of fries -- really hits the spot. Great comfort food and very resonably priced, even for a high schooler =)
