Best shoe store this side of the pond. 1/5/2009

My boyfriend and I love this store. It?s our favorite shoe store in the city, hands down. Tani?s selection has actually turned him into a shoe enthusiast, something I considered an impossible feat. They would have my heart for this alone if they didn?t already own it. I?ve been a loyal customer for four years ? ever since I moved back from the shopping mecca that is London. It?s the only shoe store in New York that equates to London?s amazing high street selection. I drag myself in from Williamsburg regularly to get my fix. They have a great selection of affordable brands that includes Dolce Vita, F Troupe, All Black, Jeffrey Campbell and they throw in lines I?ve never seen anywhere else for extra spice. This season I got a perfect pair of whiskey colored Rachel Comey boots and a pair of Sven clog boots from their sister store on 72nd street, and my boyfriend has been living in a pair of Hudson lace-up boots. I have always found the staff to be really helpful without being pushy. It seem like they get new styles in regularly so they don?t stock anything too heavily. You have to be lucky to get your size, but if you aren?t they always seem to have a creative alternative suggestion and worse case scenario you can be sure you?ll fall in love with something new next month. Pros: Great selection, helpful staff Cons: too far from home more

Calling All Shoe Addicts!! 10/26/2006

I love, love, love Tani--They always have a wide variety of shoes, one more stylish than the next. Most of the shoes in their stock is top quality and if you're a fan of Cynthia Rowley shoes as I am, then this is definitely the place for you--they always have a nice selection to choose from. Prices range from $55 - $400. Pros: Great selection, stylish Cons: Sizes go fast more

If the shoe fits... 7/5/2006

I love Tani. I always find really cute styles and great name brand shoes. The shoes are generally a little pricey ($100 and up) but every so often you can find a bargain. Many of the shoes are in European sizes for a better fit and the staff is so helpful- I almost always go in for one pair of shoes and leave with three! Pros: very cute shoes and great variety Cons: small store, slightly understaffed, pricey shoes more

Great Selection.... 7/5/2003

I always find something to purchase at Tani. They have a great selection... and always have the hottest trends. Whenever I'm looking for the ""perfect"" shoe I head to Tani and they don't disappoint... whether it's flip flops or designer shoes... they have them! more
