Tip Top shoes is the other place I'd recommend looking at comfy shoes if you can pay a little bit more. Unlike Harry's, Tip Top seems to have a more extensive collection of dressy shoes as well as the casual ones.
Salespeople are very knowledgeable, though I think they're a little more pushy than at Harry's.
I bought a pair of Merrel slide-on shoes here a year ago and they're still in great shape.

Found this Diamond of a shoe store on 72nd Street after going to the ballet last saturday afternoon. They tell me they have been here 40 years! All I can say is I do not know the last time I sat down and was fitted properly, and, after seeing all five of the syles I asked for!!! (Yes they had them all)! I can HONESTLY say I am a true shoe "junkie". This is the place for ME!
Pros: Many many many Many brands!
Cons: My wife is not happy with me becasue I bought 5 pair!

Kirna Zabete is a great store in Soho. The items are on the expensive side so while i do come into browse often I only buy the things that i just cannot live without. And unfortunately for my pocketbook, sometimes that tends to be alot! The jewelry is really amazing there and really all of their stuff is one of a kind. The sales people are surprisingly not condecending or pushy like some of the other top boutiques in the city. it is really nice and refreshing to find that. Overall great place to shop!
Pros: Great Clothes and Jewelry

This trendy shoe store on Prince Street is known for its beautifully made metallic leather shoes. I love Sigerson Morrison flats because some of them are so pretty and they make such a bold statement. If you are looking for trendy brand-name shoes that aren't your typical Jimmy Choos, Manolos, or Diors, come check Sigerson Morrison out. Plus, they have a big sale once a year, and some of the stuff becomes fairly affordable, if not on the cheap side for the quality you are getting.

I have been a loyal customer of Jim's for over 13 Years, I can't say I've ever been dissapointed or not completely satisfied. Price wise (You get what you pay for)!! They are worth every penny period.. I would highly recommend them to everyone who appreciates quality work. It has been said they give the best shoe shine in town. And I must agree (no rush job ever, quality service) The fact they have been in business since 1932 on 59th street speaks for itself. That should be a clear indication their doing something right. True Story I love Jim's Shoe Repair............ Written By: Nadine Russell
Pros: The Best Shoe Shop Ever
Cons: Long Lines Sometimes

More
This shoe store is amazing and I never say that about shoe stores, the personnel working there will make sure you don't leave without the right size shoe for the right size budget and they have the top of the line brands at competitive prices. But you need to know that they have 50% off sales on the same brands which will really help out your wallet. They will even follow-up with you on your purchases, well, at least my salesperson did. Large, Clean, Centrally located in the Union Square district of Manhattan with three other stores and a good website you will be really impressed with their offerings. I was impressed with their customer service and each and every time I pass by I drop off some cookies from the organic food market next door and always make sure they are okay. They let me know what they have in stock in case I'm buying without pressure! At the N, W,R, V, Q , 4, 5 and 6 train at the 14th Street Subway Station, at the corner of Broadway across from the Park.. there is no excuse not to find them. Happy Shopping!
