The place is very nice. I showed up to meet with some friends on a Saturday night, relatively early. For an empty bar it took sometime for the bartender to even know I was waiting. The drinks were on the $$$ pricey side for a place thats not a club. And I thought the DJ turned up the music way to loud for the amount of people and type of place. We were all screaming at each other. I go to LOUNGES to avoid having to scream and fight to enjoy the company I am with and meeting new people. Might be a great Happy hour spot, but didn't love it for a Saturday night out more

Awesome place!! Beautiful, young crowd. Came here for happy hour with my girlfriend and a few friends. Everyone loved it, moreso my friends who were able to meet several young women in the tri-state area in such a short period of time. Outstanding, prompt service. Excellent drink menu. This is my company's go-to place for Happy Hour. It is right near my office and we come here about once a month. My boss let us order pretty much everything on the menu so we have tried almost all the food lol. My personal favorite is their spinach dip in a bread bowl. It is so rich and creamy and the sour dough is simply great. Of course you also have to get the wings, nachos and qasedilla. The wings here aren't that hot and nachos are not that great but qasedilla is not bad. Drinks menus are great and their service is usually good. I won't come here unless it is an after work thing though. Pros: Good drinks and happy hour food more

Me and my coworkers went to stitch for happy hour on Wednesday the waitresses were very attentive and informative they told us the happy hour drinks specials and the $10 wing special so we ordered the juicy melon cocktail and sangria yum not to mention the wings the best buffalo wings in town is at stitch. I had an office party here a few months ago and it has quickly become one of our favorite after-work spots to go. I had friendly, speedy service at the right price - $10 for 20 hot wings and $5 beers. After happy hour, I tried one of their specialty cocktails and found my new favorite - The Lingerie. A little fruity, a little coconutty, and a solid amount of vanilla vodka perked me right up! Fun music and a nice crowd for a Thursday night. I was in stitch tuesday night for happy hour and was very impressed! the drinks were Amazing, the prices were awesome and The staff were very friendly and helpful. the waitresses were sure to tell us the happy hour specials and she even recommended her favorite, ""the juicy melon'"", which was amazing. First, the service was terrible from the non-existent waitress to the bartenders who were incapable of making eye contact with people waiting. Second, several people in my party ordered the same drink at different times and each of us paid a different price. The sign says summer specials for $5. But the sangria was $7 at the bar the first time and then $9 when my friend bought another round 30 mins later. And no, ""happy hour"" which doesn't exist here, had not ended. Completely disorganized rip off. more

I have yet to check this place out while in action but I just learned there's going to be a HUGE fundraiser for an organization called Stockings With Care there with Celebrities from NY TV, Film & Broadway tending the bar!! It's Wednesday Nov 11th from 7-11pm and only 20 bucks to enter. And for a good cause, it seems. Should be fun. I'll let you guys know what I think! Pros: big space Cons: not sure more

I booked a Advertising industry networking event at STITCH last month and all the staff were very helpful in the planning and running of my event for. Nick organized my birthday happy hour over email - very helpful answering my questions and no fuss. I told him I had at least 20 people coming and he reserved this huge table for me upstairs (no charge and no bottles to buy). All my friends had no problems getting in and we had the table all night. Living in NY for 4 years I've always had issues with places - either cover charges, getting in, not enough space.. Stitch has always been one of my favorites. Good music, good space and this was the first year i had my birthday party here and I'd recommend the place to others. Pros: Not super crowded, good atmosphere, reserves tables - no fee more

I was at Stitch Dec 20 for a friend's birthday. We had a table reserved for 8pm and it was ready when we arrived. Our party ordered many appetizers and every person ordered a sandwich and multiple drinks. The food was okay, nothing to write home about, but not bad by any means. However, our waitress was not equipped to deal with a nine person table. She very rarely asked us if we wanted drinks, mind you this was on a very snowy night in NY and there were very few people there when we were eating. She would disappear for long stretches of time and we would have to go to the bar to order drinks. Also, she rushed the apps out onto the table and then came by every three minutes or so asking if we were done with the apps when there was plenty of food left, we had to repeatedly tell her that we were going to finish the apps. The sandwiches came out and the food was okay. But, the non-existant waitress was back, not asking if we wanted drinks although at several points in the evening the majority of people at the table were out of drinks. She was taking our plates that still held uneaten food. I watched as the waitress took my boyfriend's plate when he still had an entire burrito left on it while he was distracted and talking to others. Unfortunately, the talk should have been about my friend's birthday, but it wound up being about our horrible waitress. She did not deserve the 20% tip that was left to her by any means, unless she is going to pay for training to become a better waitress. I would go back there for a drink perhaps, but I will definitely be going elsewhere for future parties and dining. Pros: looks nice Cons: food and service more

Listen, friends, if you want to throw a nice party on a budget, I strongly suggest STITCH! I moved to NYC from LA just before my husband's 30th birthday on October 15th. For weeks I researched venues in this city, and most of them, though beautiful, have a rental fee or require that you spend a certain amount in food and beverage, etc. All I wanted was a cool, private area to bring together close friends, but as time went by, that began to seem like an impossibility, until I found Stitch. A great space with no fee and no minimum? Seemed too good to be true. So, before making a decision, I read every single review posted on this site. Some made me feel confident about Stitch, others made me a little nervous. But, in the end, I decided to take a chance and I am so glad that I did. I can't account for any of the negative reviews you might read if you keep scrolling down, but I can assure you that my experience was 100 percent satisfactory. Stitch provided everything I wanted and much more. I was given the party area upstairs. It has a private bar (you can have an open bar or simply a cash bar), lots of seating, and wonderful intimate lighting. I ordered party platters through Stitch which were set up beautifully on a white linen table, hot and ready to eat, just before my guests arrived. I ordered a birthday cake from somewhere else, but Nick, who rules, still allowed me to drop it off that afternoon. They kept it safe and cool for me all day, and the moment I needed it that night, they brought it directly upstairs and placed it on the food table. Best part? They have a flat screen on the main wall upstairs for your own personal use! I burned a slideshow on my laptop of my husband's life and played it all night! They cannot allow sound for obvious reasons, but it was that final personal touch that made the evening, bringing so much joy and laughter to my guests. My professional group of science writers recently held an informal event there, and everyone present raved about the food, the service, the staff, and the atmosphere. We took over the semi-private balcony area, where we were treated like special guests by the friendly wait-staff and our gracious host, owner Nick Cohen. Check out Stitch's fabulous high-ceilinged, wood-paneled space and delightful menu...you won't regret it! more
