No events here! 9/18/2006

This place may get crowded and be good for a happy hour, but extremely disappointing for events. We met with the event person, Nick Cohen, more than two months before ours and were assured everything would be great. We show up the night of the event and get a MUCH smaller space than we were promised. Most importatnly, Nick outright lied to us that he attempted to contact us about the event and we did not get back to him. I have NO respect for that behaivor! Also, our speakers could not be heard over the crowd. Based on the rudeness of the staff alone, I will never set foot in Stitch again. Happiest Happy Hour! 9/14/2006

Stopped in for an after work ""drink"" with the girls to have a true gab session, and we ended up spending the whole evening at this fantastic spot! Great service, very attentive waitstaff - - which is increasingly rare in this city..., fabulous food - at a reasonable price, also a rarity..., and - - - the clincher, $5 cosmos and apple martinis until 8pm!!! And these drinks are LOADED with alcohol! No skimping at STITCH'S! Their slogan should be ""we don't Skimp at Stitch""... It is worth rushing out of the office to get to this bar!!!! Beautiful Bar, Great Vibe, Awesome Food, Great Music, and Awesome Staff!!! On the way home!!!! 9/12/2006

This is a pleasant, mid-town location which is an easy walk from most of the subways and bus terminals. (Leave your car at home as you will be staying a while!) The wait staff are very friendly and do their utmost to make each patron have the best bar experience possible. Do not miss the Spinach Dip, still haven't found one that compares! Great music - live as well, mingling, and a let loose scene. My favorite time to be there is St. Patty's Day!\r If you are looking for a casual atmosphere where you can really kick back after the madness of the day-- this is your place! Good after-work bar 5/25/2006

Went there with a co-worker last night. Only picked it because of close proximity to Penn Station, but it ended up a great place. I would definitely go there again. Enjoyed the strong $5 appletinis and the food was absolutely great. more

Reluctant at first to visit a bar in the middle of nowhere. Was very surprised by Stitch. The place is huge, the decor was turn of the Century (That's 19th Century). A Casual place to gather with friends in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Thank you to my servers who were excellent. See you for my company's Holiday party. (maybe even before !) Love this place! 4/23/2006

This place is absolutely awesome... Was there just this past Friday night... The music was awesome, any song in any genre... the staff was great, just kept the drinks coming... And the location couldnt be better to meet up with everyone, since its only a few blocks away from Times Square. Not stuffy, and uptight, just a downright awesome time for everyone... Bouncers gave us attitude 4/23/2006

I had my birthday party at Stitch recently- it was a good place to gather a group of friends for a casual night out. However, though the website makes it look like a no frills place, they forced everyone in my party to check their coats, and the bouncer started swearing at a friend of mine who was taking his time to get to the coat check. Been looking for a place in midtown forever, and when I stumbled upon Stitch, I couldnt believe it... From the expansive appearance of the place, to the attentive staff, to the killer DJ who can play any song of any genre you're looking for, it was just awesome. The location couldnt be any more convenient. And the crowd is a mix, which makes for a great time... Drinks are reasonable, and the staff keeps 'em flowing. I've lived here for 6 years, been to the upper west/east side bars to the village pubs, to the trendy soho clubs, There's honesty no place like Stitch in Manhattan... Found this new spot through you guys at Citysearch. Thank you. I work for a very well known clothing line just around the corner. The whole office after work crew are SO HAPPY that stitch has opened. We now have a local place of our own to meet and and gossip about work ! Food is good, staff are better, vibe is the best of all. No drama, no attitude, no problem. Thanks you guys at Stitch. I booked my company's office party and i was amazed at he great help in arranging my party and the service on the day of our event. My fellow employees had a fantastic time and we are already looking to arrange another one at stitch soon. The staff were really fantastic and friendly. best bar near Penn station 5/13/2005

I have been coming in and out of Penn Station every day for years. Love a drink after work but always cursed the lack of decent watering holes in and around that area. Thankfully Stitch has filled that gap. Good big space, good music, lighting & some very attractive staff...... I had the Pizza the other day and it was really good. Stitch is an awesome bar 4/10/2005

I hosted an event for Cornell alumni last week, so I had to do some preplanning. Nick couldn't have been more helpful and careful, making sure he had the right numbers and times. The people workng at Stitch were just as great: everyone was smiling, in great sprits, willing to help out, giving us extra tables when we needed, and making sure none of us were thirsty or hungry. The space is big and comfy, making any gathering fun: we weren't uncomfortably tight nor screaming to listen to each other. Overall, we had a great time at Stitch and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to relax and to any organizations looking for a place to get together. Stay away from stitch 3/29/2005

They ran out of martini glasses and served my group in small wine glasses. My glass contained about 1"" of liquid and it was luke-warm. Why bother with a happy hour if you're only going to offer $1 off mixed drinks. Overpriced and lousy service, we waited 30 minutes for the bill and the music was too loud to hold a conversation. Great Space but not a Weekend Spot 3/27/2005

This place is probably great during the week after work, but not the weekend. The place is huge, the music was good, but the bouncers are totally in your face and the service is not good. I had a planned a pre-wedding party there with 50 friends and the experience was horrible. Not only did the over-protective bouncers kick a friend of mine out, but they had no idea we were coming and were quite unhelpful about helping us with our reservation that had been booked weeks earlier. Considering the number of people we had in our party Stitch missed out on some good money and future business since we took our group to a much more accomidating and friendly bar. Packed!! 3/8/2005

Showed up for a few cocktails with friends after work, place was cranking...at 5:30?!? Great service, fun crowd, incredible space, this close to Penn Station. Could it be? The garment center is truly Manhattan's next hot spot, and this place is blazing the trail!! Who knew then tuna in Midtown was this good, and the food is great too! Great after work spot, and don't be surprised when you loose track of time and stay until the action kicks off later on. Unique menu and tons of space provide a welcoming environment for the after work cocktail or pre/post madison square garden party group. I've only been there twice and both times I was impressed by the celebrity crowd. The second story loft seems like the place to be but get there early the real estate goes quick. Got to this new spot the other night...... it's about time someone decided to put in a great spot in that neighborhood. Tunes were great, space is off the hook, plasma screens perfect for pre game knicks show, and perfect distance for pre garden venue. Upstairs had a great lounge feel to it for drinks/apps.
