could not take wine stains out although held the garment for a long period of time.Service was not reliable. Cons: below average quality and service-their location different ...

Iris cleaned my wedding gown last year and they did an excellent job. The dress was elegantly boxed and preserved and they were nice enough to e-mail me pictures of the dress before delivery. I continue to use them on a monthly basis for all dry-cleaning. more

One day I send out my clothes to the local cleaners in downtown nyc area. Not only did they ruin one of my husbands favorite shirts but refused to accept responsibility. After searching the web I found Iris. After using them a few times I noticed some shirts with chipped buttons. When I mentioned it, they took action by sending someone that evening to pick up the shirts and they replaced the buttons at no cost. more

Besides the inconvenient location in East Elmhurst, they clean your clothing in the Laundromat next door! When I was picking up my suit on Saturday, I saw how one of the Iris?s workers was taking an enormous amount of blue bags from the cleaner to Laundromat next door to have them cleaned there. I will never trust any expensive item from my wardrobe to be cleaned at Iris. AVOID. more

Leather Alterations 5/26/2012

Last winter I fell in love with a leather sherling coat and I could not help buying it, even though the sleeves were a bit long on me. A friend recommended them for laundry and drycleaning, so I call them to see if this was something they could do. They told me it would take one week to complete the work. The coat came out great even though I am glad winter is in my rear view mirror. Great Job. more

Water Stains- No Problem 5/23/2012

A few weeks ago I called them to pickup a beige trenchcoat that was heavily stained. The stains were courtesy of a yellowcab splashing dirty rainwater on me while I was walking to the subway. They informed me that the turnaround time would be longer than usual due to the nature of stains. When I got it back, it was good as new. more

INCOMPETENT. LIARS. BE WARNED. 5/18/2012

These people are incompetent and LIARS. They damaged my clothes and made no apologies for it. Ruined my dress shirt. Big mistake! Never again. Not only do they not know how to clean your clothes, they have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't remember when you scheduled a pick up or a drop off and when things go wrong, they take no accountability for anything that goes wrong with your clothes. Also they do not have a store front in the Manhattan address listed here. They are located in East Elmhurst Queens. That should tell you something right away. Be warned. more

not so great as it seems 5/15/2012

The service I received was unbelievably bad. I dropped off four items for dry cleaning and only three were returned to me. One of those three items was a brand new sweater which I had worn twice. It was returned to me with a hole on one side and a spot on the other. When I pointed out these issues, I was told I must be mistaken because this just doesn't happen. There are other reviews on this site that mention a lost item, so clearly such things happen. I strongly recommend you find another dry cleaner. I will not use this place again. more

Special Care 5/11/2012

I have my authentic Indian dresses and other cleaners have either turned me down or ruined parts of it. Iris Cleaners took on the task and return my dresses without any damage while removing the stains! They are my cleaners. more

Flexible Pickup 5/11/2012

I was looking for a company that could clean my dresses both for work and personal occasions. I use Iris a couple of times month because they can be trusted with my most precious items. Also they have made exceptions for me by scheduling late pickups and drop offs,to work around my schedule. Awesome job. more

Job Well Done 5/10/2012

I needed to find a cleaners that could shorten the sleeves and take in back of a bunch of shirts and a few suits. Usually I use the local drycleaners but I was not sure about giving them all these alterations. Although the work was a bit $$$ it was done right. I continue to use them for my drycleaning and alterations. more

My daughter recently got married and I was afraid to send her wedding gown to the local drycleaners. Iris picked up the dress three hours after I called and e-mailed me pictures of the dress before delivery. I was quite pleased with the work, so I decided to use them regulaly. more

I have called Iris Cleaners many times to handle the cleaning of my delicate dresses.They have always done an excellent job and made sure nothing was damaged. In addition to handling my clothes with care, I received my clothes back in a timely manner. more

Have used Iris for my drycleaning and laundry ever since I found them online. They recently did a great job getting a tuxedo cleaned and altered for me within 24 hours. Reliable service !!!!!! more

I so wish i had read the reviews prior to using these cleaners!\r there customer service is terrible! they do not pick-up and deliver when they say they will ... by days! \r I would not recommend anyone who cares about their clothes being delivered in a timely manner to use them.\r more

Refuse to rectify issues that they cause 2/29/2012

Do not bring your clothes there unless you want them damaged. Not sure how this place is still in business. I brought in about 7 items and wasn?t happy with the quality of at least one. This cleaner damaged my expensive shirt, and it now has the bleached small spots all over. When I asked them to refund the money, they were trying to ensure me that the shirt came in this way originally. The entire interaction was one of the rudest I have ever had as a customer. They refuse to rectify issues that they cause. more

They are always late with drop offs and horrible with cleaning. When I need my suit or dress to be cleaned by a certain day ? it is never ready on time, and eventually comes three days later (if I am lucky). Two times some of my garments were missing from the order. I am no longer their client and won?t recommend Iris Cleaners to anyone. more

I looked forward to getting my cloths clean and fresh, and it was a total mistake with the Iris Cleaners. Make sure you check them out before you fall victim to their unprofessional style of dry cleaning and taking money from you. Since I had to post a star, I post 1 even though it is too much for this kind of poor services. more

Unprofessionals! DO NOT recommend 2/23/2012

I would never recommend this place as I found this place to be the most unprofessional dry cleaner. Their work is very poor. I gave it a shot and decided to try them in January but got my cloths back still wrinkled and with the old yellow stains that have never been removed. I had to find another dry cleaner, which cost me additional money and my time. They are very unprofessional in what they are doing. more

When I began searching online for a cleaners, my main concern was finding someone who could manage to clean my laundry and drycleaning properly. They recently did a great job on my silk chiffon blouse and they always do a great job on my babies white clothes. more
