Alice Zotta has been an institution in NY for decades. The new LIRR trains have arm rests that rip clothing. This the only store I would trust to fix a suit flawlessly. They repair a tear in fabric as though it was never torn. Truly amazing. There is no other place I know of that can do what they do.

I had my wedding dress and two bride maid dresses altered by this company. They came to my place on time and delivered the dresses on time. I bought my dress from David's Bridal. I needed to go two sizes down and hem the bottom of my dress. When I tried it on after they did the alteration, it looked great. My bridemaids said their dresses fit perfect. Excellent work... Thanks... Highly Recommended...

I have been a customer of STATS for many years and can’t say enough about the great service and quality merchandise I receive. I used to buy shirts in so-called trendy stores and was never really satisfied with the fit. When Julie Manis first came to my office, I was hesitant at first about whether she knew anything about measuring shirts and whether her shirts would both look great and fit perfectly. For over 12 years, all the shirts I have come from Julie and STATS. Julie is great to work with and knows her stuff. I buy both dress and casual shirts from her, both long and short-sleeved. Her shirts cost no more than a good ready-made shirt and I enjoy the convenience of shopping in my office. I also found that using her gift certificates is something the receiver always finds very special. This is definitely a service I would highly recommend.

I took a bridesmaid's dress to Mr. David, and am very happy with the results. Another tailor quoted me a price almost as much as the dress had cost, but Mr. David was able to take the bodice in and lift the hem 3 inches for only $75. I was very pleased with the bodice work, which was a little tricky due to some intricate beading. When I wore the dress, you couldn't tell it had been altered at all, but I was able to wear it comfortably all day.
The people who work at Mr. David's were prompt (my dress was finished exactly when they said it would be) and excellent at what they do. I'll definitely go back to them.

I've been here about four times before I finally got turned off. They raised their rates the final time I was there, but that's not why it's a bad place to go. They don't do quality work on your clothes. I noticed a few times they kept missing stain marks on the front of shirts, shrunk it, and the stuff they use smells too soapy like on your clothes. This is really bad if you perspire and the chemicals react with it. I wouldn't really recommend this place. You don't get what you pay for, that's for sure.
