One of the best Boutiques, I came across in NY 1/30/2008

I just visited the store last week, and was very impressed by the store and its staff. The store has wide selection of clothes and shoes. Very Trendy..loved it. I wanted to buy it all:-). The sales person who waited on me was Anitra. She was very patient and helpful..not pushy at all. Brought several items for me to try on in the fitting room, and constantly checked on me to see if she could be of further assistance. Great job Anitra...keep it up. I was very impressed by the service. more

Unique items without going to Europe 12/14/2005

I grew up in NY but now live in San Francisco. I ended up at Institut in October of 2005 and found some really beautiful, one-of-a-kind items. Of course, it is Spring Street, and most of the clothes were in th 300-800/per item range. I had to pair down to what I could afford after being helped by Carlton, a wonderful person there with great taste, but I will go again and everything I got has seen a lot of wear. Highly recommend for those that can afford it or for that special piece or two that is unique, elegant and funky. Pros: One of a kind pieces, Beautiful store, Wonderful salespeople Cons: Expensive more

not your typical SoHo 7/22/2005

In the heart of SoHo, I found this boutique. I picked out a few pairs of skirts, tops, and shoes. Great variety to chose from! As I tried on a top, I pointed out to the saleslady that the collar was unusually large. She just told me it was ""in and hip"" and shrugged away. At first I thought she was rather rude but I then found out that she and the other two sales associates were Russian (Im Russian) so her attitude towards me changed completely. I also recieved compliments on my new shoes. Overal, if your used to SoHo prices, this store is fabulous! Pros: great variety, sexy clothes, great location Cons: expensive parking, expensive clothes more

Great Clothes 7/8/2003

I bought a cute top while visiting NYC this weekend. The saleslady was helpful but tended to be a bit on the pushy side. The clothes are great and unique. Get ready to spend a load of money, but it's worth it in the end. Bravo! Pros: great selection, great sale prices, friendly staff Cons: pushy sales lady more
