Dr. Shoshany and his staff are very nice, and the facilities are new and beautiful. The aspect of this medical practice I've been impressed by so far is availability for appointments--you can get in on short notice and schedule follow-ups within the next couple of days. A friend suggested cold laser would cure my plantar fasciitis. I went to Dr. Shoshany, and after 14 treatments, my heel pain was gone. It's been 9 months, and I am pain free. This heel pain which I had for over 3 years created referred leg pain, hip pain, lower back pain and general body pain. I had trouble walking a block, climbing stairs, sitting for more than 15 minutes at a time. I went to many podiatrists, chiropractors, various medical doctors, had many rounds of physical therapy, wore a foot brace to bed, used orthotics all the time---and still the pain was hobbling my life. I AM PAIN FREE now--I can wear sandals, sleep better and actually can run across the street without falling!!!!!!! I am having a wonderful experience with Dr. Shoshany, he has been treating me for over a month now and I have seen major improvements. I'm a performer on tour with a musical, I spend A LOT of time sitting on a bus, and have an injury on top of that from the show. He brings me in when i am home and works wonders on my back and neck. I've had a nagging back injury for several years. It was only exacerbated by my service in the Army rucking with a heavy rucksack for miles on end. I had quite a bit of physical therapy (not to mention trigger point injections and meds) to try and help me, but nothing ever fixed the problem. After coming home, I complained of my back problem to a good friend of mine. She suggested trying a chiropractor. This friend was a physical therapist and worked with a chiropractor herself. Thankfully, she did a search for chiro's in NYC and ran across Dr. Shoshany. She gave me the lowdown and said his credentials looked good and his education was top notch. Well... To be honest, I was skeptical. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to go. I've had this problem for several years now. I figured what could he really do? At this point, I thought I had nothing to loose so I gave him a shot. Boy, was I surprised. I've been going for about 5 weeks now. IT WORKED! I'm not 100% cured, but I am more 90% there! I am studying to go back to school and sitting at my desk was killing me. My back is feeling great now! And it's only been a bit over a month now. He's a great guy. He will help you with your Chiropractic needs a.k.a. your back problems. I have seen and felt the changes and have received recovery. But unlike a lot of Chiropractors, Shoshany doesn't just work on your back. He helps you in other areas as well. The knee, the shoulder, etc. He also services you well and is interested in hearing what bothers you so he can fix it. I came to Dr Shoshany with lower back pain as result of a herniated disc. Being seated for more than 10 or 15 minutes was excrutiating. Following decompression therapy and regular chiropractic, I feel good as new. So good, that I recently spent 2 hours behind the wheel of a car two days in a row with no pain. Thank you! One word. Awesome.!!!! This was my first time going to a Chiro. I was really really nervous. I looked on my healthcare site and didn't know whom to pick and couldn't get any recommendations from colleagues so I hopped on city search. I was having pain in my lower back and it was becoming difficult to bend, put on shoes, and then finally sit. So I had to do something. After my first visit and adjustment OMG I could bend again without wincing and my eyes tearing up. The Good Dr. Shoshany is great and explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. Whether they use old or new methods of treatment when you're talking about my back pain, well I don't care what they do as long as it goes away! Dr. Shoshany and his chose the right methods for me. I moved here from LA a couple years ago and was quite sad that I had to start a new search for a chiropractor in NYC since I loved my chiro in LA. I found a few chiros just from searching on my insurance provider's website and they were AWFUL. I couldn't have gotten more than 2 minutes with any of them and didn't feel even 1% better after my visits. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Shoshany and I couldn't be happier. I have had back problems for around four years and had gone to both a medical doctor and a physical therapist. These steps helped, but undergoing adjustments with Dr. Shoshanay made a dramatic improvement, decreasing my pain and bettering my posture. I highly recommend Dr. Shoshany! My husband had been suffering with back problems since a fall in the late 90's. Before seeing Dr. Shoshany, he would complain every day of pain in his lower and middle back, including swelling that wouldn't go down -he even had a tingling feeling in his hand. I have not felt this good since before I had injured my back.\r on or around april of 2007, I aggravated an injury I had suffered while performing my police duties, \r I began to experience immobilizing pain and electrical shooting nerve pain in my lower back which shot down my entire left leg, buttock and groin,\r the pain was so intense i could not even walk , I was seen by a neurologist and went to the emergency department of my local hospital, I was given heavy narcotics via IV infusion.\r i was then placed on heavy narcotic round the clock,\r these took the edge off slightly , but i was still useless, even urinating was a problem. I was only getting 2 hrs a night of sleep and was becoming near the edge of my sanity.\r I went to several pain management drs, they gave me epidural injections which slightly helped for a brief time \r and then when the nerve pain began to intensify i became frightened, I was never going to have it that bad again i swore ,\r I was told i may have to get surgery or live in pain the rest of my life. I did not wish to have surgery , I am the mother of 4 children and could not be out that long ,\r I began to look on the internet for alternative methods and i cam across Dr. Shoshany's web site,\r I read about the DRX9000 decompression table and called the office right away \r within two days I was seen in the office and and everything was explained so easily , his knowledge and commitment to the profession was very impressive,\r I agreed to try the treatment , and after just a few sessions I was able to straighten up and walk right. I was recently involved in an automobile accident and experiencing a tremendous amount of pain in my back and neck. My sleeping was being affected as I had a few restless nights. He and his staff are always both professional and personable, and I have no doubt he is one of the best chiropractors in NYC. I injured my back rollerblading and I did not know what I was going to do. I consulted with Dr. Shoshany and I was comfortable with his approach from the begining. Researched the internet and checked out Citysearch before chosing Dr Shoshany to treat my baby son. I have been to a well known UK chiropractor back home and this experience, albeit for my son, was on par. Dr Shoshany was excellent and made my son and I feel at ease. He was reassuring, informative (about his field and other related/complimentary fields of medicine) and had an expert (pediatric) touch. The office was small and intimate. After the visit I decided to get a chiropractic check-up for my my whole family (Dr Shoshony treats adults too). Luckily, the office takes a variety of insurance, so we were covered. I think I would have paid out of pocket anyway, as the experience was good. Looking forward to my next visit.
