Rude or Understaffed? Another Negative Review 2/11/2012

My family has been going to this Bleecker CVS since it hit the neighborhood but no more. The pharmacy staff is rude, repeatedly rude, abrupt and any question is treated in a mean way. The pharmacist ""Ken"" once upbraided me after I asked a question twice and I could not figure out his answer (gosh, darn). He stated, ""I speak English."" Yup, that's how you got your pharmacy degree but knowledge of the English language has little to do with professionalism and courtesy, Ken, and accusing customers of an -ism is off the charts. Furthermore, and unfortunately, Ken's influence is exerted on the rest of the pharmacy staff and if they were once ok they eventually deteriorate to Ken's level. Hope CVS management looks at these reviews now and then. Maybe the pharmacy staff are overworked but they are now over the top with my spouse as well. The staff have driven me to one of the other gazillion pharmacies in the neighborhood. more

CVS quality of service: are they really just rumors? 1/31/2012

After years of experience not only shopping at CVS but being a full-time pharmacist for 4 years at CVS I can only positively reflect on most experiences with the company. But in this particular instance, I couldn't have remembered any experience more unpleasant as the one I had with your cashier named Stephanie. As I approached the counter to pay, I presented a twenty dollar bill. She examined it closely then put it through some machine when afterwards asked me if I had another twenty. I said this one should be fine as it was definitely genuine being dispensed from an ATM machine. She replied ""no, this is fake!"". I then responded to see the manager. When the manager approached us, he also checked the machine and politely told me that sometimes it doesn't like certain bills so couldn't be accepted. The cashier rudely said thats exactly what she told me when it wasn't. I felt quite insulted and incriminated by this employee who basically implied me to be a thief without even an apology. more
