Berk’s is a neat shoe store with probably the coolest shoes you’ll be able to find in Providence. They carry a variety of shoes for both men and women, with boots, sneakers, casual walking shoes, sandals, flip flops, etc. in a lot of trendy styles and brands – Diesel, Puma, Reef, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There’s usually a nice sale going on with pretty good discounts. Also in the store are some clothes, but it’s not a big selection. The store reminds everyone that Thayer St. used to be local and independent, so keep supporting Berk’s before it turns into yet another chain.
