50% steakhouse 50% lounge. We had 8pm reservations but ended up having to wait about an hour for a table to open up. No big deal for us as we weren't in a rush and just grabbed a few drinks at the bar. Definitely a younger crowd than your traditional steakhouse. The place was pretty crowded, and REALLY loud. Once we were seated, the service was definitely below average. Our waitress, while usually accessible, was curt and generally a b*tch. The food, however, was a different story all together- fantastic. The apps were superb (esp the beef tartar and the oysters), and the steak definitely up to par (though not the best I've ever had). All in all, A for food and decor, C- for service.
Pros: Food, decor, prices not outrageous for a steakhouse in NYC
Cons: Service
