All I can say is that I can kick myself for not leaving this place when I entered this 'family owned"" jewlery store staffed with low class rude people. They are ultra expensive for repair work and batteries, and do not want to give a written receipt for work that is done. There was a burly looking animal at the door for security who looked like he was just let out of some sort of institution. Pretty scarey! The whole family is deliberately downright nasty and defensive. The Chamber of Commerce will be notified of their behavior, and i sure I will not be the first to report them. more

I found them from multiple ""Best of New York"" article.. The problem with the internet is that it has become an open forum for all sorts of disgruntled folks. try them for yourself and then decide.. BTW, have sent several friends who have all thanked me. more

Thieves 11/8/2010

Murrey's (or more specifically Earl R. Kahn) sold some things for me on commission and he wont pay me. Everytime I go in he feeds me a different line and last week he actually wrote me a bogus check, with a signature he knew the bank would reject! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!!! They still owe me $10,000 and I am considering legal action! more

Murrey's Jewelers is an excellent family owned local Jeweler. Earl (the owner) was extremely communicative and quoted us a very fair price right out of the gate, not to mention he delivered the finished product a week earlier than promised. Every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectation for service and quality. Highly recommended. Pros: High Quality, Great Service, Fair Prices more

DON'T USE - THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED!!!! 10/29/2008

I went to Murrey's with a family heirloom that needed a repair. Unfortunately they lied to me multiple times - twice about when it would be ready, once about why there was a delay, once about their closing hours. They were dishonest, rude and unapologetic when I called them on it. If they're dishonest about these things who knows what else they're doing - swapping stones? replacing gold? They're not to be trusted. Cons: They lie to their customers. more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! 7/24/2008

Do not use this jeweler. I have been trying for over a year to have them send me a piece of jewelry that I paid for a year ago. The owner will not return my phone calls. When I ask for him, I hear a different excuse EVERY time. Doing business with them has been the biggest waste of my time and money. It is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced! Beware! more
