We just spent this past Saturday night at the Michelangelo for my husband's 50th birthday. Unfortunately, we were not able to get an early check in (we had a bit of trouble reaching the concierge the week prior) but all was fine when we arrived. The lobby was quite lovely and the front desk was courteous. We were on the 7th floor and the room was spacious and clean (very important!). There was absolutely no view from our room. When we came back to our room after the show, the bed had been turned down but there were no chocolates on the pillow as I had heard there would be. Also, I was surprised that ice had not been placed in the ice bucket (better hotels usually provide this service). The bathroom was a nice size and the tub was quite large but a jacuzzi was really needed there. I loved the complimentary use of the robes and the toiletries were quite nice. The complimentary breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, cappucino and small pastries. Instead of sitting in the overcrowded (not to mention very noisy) lobby, opt to sit in the mezzanine above with small intimate tables for 2 with linen table cloths. Much nicer! All in all, I would definitely stay here again with adults, not children, as there isn't a pool or hot tub.
Pros: very accessible to theater district (stay away from the ""tourist"" restaurants
Cons: please bring back the dining room
