Employees are friendly and so are the customers. We have always gotten great service and excellent food. Pros: Service and food great. Good friendly atmosphere. Cons: Parking. more

GREAT PLACE!! 8/7/2008

Love McKeowns... always filled with great people and laughter. Very reasonably priced drinks and great food. The games are always on and service is prompt and always with a smile. I always find myself staying way longer then i expect to. more

Great Irish Pub 8/7/2008

if you haven't been here yet, you have to go. It's a nice place to go and relax and hang out with your friends. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! My favorite is the Fish 'N Chips. I've been here several times and plan on going back again and again and again. There wine selection is pretty good as well. There's nothing like a nice glass of cold Sauvignon Blanc and good company! more

Great Place to Watch A Game 8/6/2008

This is a great pub to catch a game. Three tv's above the bar and another 4 or 5 in the back dining room make it an excellent place to catch the yanks or mets. Sunday afternoon football always has a fun crowd. Terrific food and service make this upper east side pub a must. Pros: service, food, sports Cons: dinning room fills up fast- make a reservation more

Great place for good drinks, good laughs and good friends! 8/6/2008

If you're looking for a relaxed place with good drinks, great homestyle food, to sit back and enjoy with friends, McKeown's is totally the place to go! Been there a bunch of times, and each visit reminds me why I keep coming back! Friendly emloyees who go out of their way to accomodate you and make you feel at home. So, if you're like me and enjoy relaxing with a nice cold glass of white and some delicious Fish 'N Chips (and YES, they're worth the calories), McKeown's is it! more

Avoid at all costs. 4/21/2008

Great place for the homeless to hang out. and to place a football wager. Lot's of gambling going on here too. Be carefull with your money and WHEN YOU LEAVE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE A $20.00 TO THE HOMELESS GUYS STANDING AT THE DOOR, OTHERWISE THEY WILL MAKE A PITCH TO YOU. Pros: great place to meet the conmen Cons: WATCH YOUR MONEY more

Charmed Atmosphere 3/24/2008

I've been in a few times and each time it gets better! The staff are professional and yet comfortable enough to make a joke (the chick behind the bar in the video has a great sense of humor)! The owner introduced himself and introduced me to some of the regulars and now I'm a semi-regular. Very friendly crowd. The appetizers are very tasty and the meals I've had there (Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash, Irish Stew) have all been delicious! I live on the upper west side and this place is out of my way, but well worth the trip! Pros: Great staff and crowd Cons: travel time to and from if you're on the upper west side! more

No customer service here! 9/10/2007

Where do I even begin...? Since this is the upper east side you do not expect bartenders to over charge on the amount of drinks served, but this one did. Even after questioning him, he corrected the check, but he was rude and said awful things to myself and other customers about his working conditions.\r \r In addition, we patiently waited for over an hour for our food. Maybe this was used as a gimmick to get us to stay longer and buy more over priced drinks. Finally, we threw in the towel and headed out, but were stopped at the door by a poor homeless man who wanted $20.00 bucks for a shower. \r \r I recommend not wasting a dime at this dive establishment! Pros: great place to meet the homeless! Cons: Bring cash and double check the bill. more

You won't be dissapointed. 9/4/2007

This is an awesome upper east side pub. The staff treats you well, the regulars are not jerks, they have a great menu and the game is always on. If you are looking for a place to bring a date or watch the game, and eat some good food with good people...this is it. more

Great place to watch sports 9/4/2007

With three nice sized flat screens tv's around the bar and a few more in the back dining area, its a great place to catch playoff baseball, NFL, and college football and basketball. Good crowd, great food, and excellent staff make for a nice place to grab a beer on the Upper East Side. Pros: Service, tv's to watch games Cons: can get crowded around the bar (grab a table in the back) more

Shepherd's Pie and Bangers & Mash to die for. 9/2/2007

Cool place to eat, grab a beer, chill, and watch some sports. Finally, Bartenders w/ a sense of humor! \r \r Tuesday nights PUB QUIZ!! AWESOME. Pros: Thumbsup! Cons: Hard to find parking, take subway or cab. more
