King Garment Care

I recently moved a block away. I have a very simple request: high quality cleaning of my dress shirts - no starch. I drop off the shirts, I clearly say 'no starch', I get back shirts with light starch - especially on the french cuffs. I don't get it. I complain and they redo the shirts, but they consistently get it wrong (and this is the annoying thing - they've done my shirts by now at least several dozen times). If they can't handle these simple requests (which I've found for decades are quite basic and easily understood by dry cleaners around the world), what can they handle? I have worked in the fashion industry for over 18 years. I have tried many dry-cleaners in Manhattan over the years and I think i've found the right one. The King Garment Care experience was very professional, personal, customer service and quality driven. I was astounded by the great quality of their garment care. I have only acquired couture suits and the finest custom shirts over the years. King returned my garments in fantastic condition with a perfect finish. I requested a tour of the plant in the back of the store and FLO (GM) was kind enough to show me. One could eat off the floors if so inclined. \r My search is over.\r King Garment Care is MY cleaner. Thank god i can brag about it now to people i don't know! I've been going to King for probably 4 years now. I just got married to the love of my life Robert and at the reception, he drowned my beautiful gown with some complicated sauce from dinner. After almost killing him, i brought my dress to King Garment Care.\r SPEAK TO FLO or RICHARD !!\r No questions asked, they gave me a free consultation and cleaned my dress for me. Not only that, they put my 'better-than-new' gown in a museum quality restoration box. \r MWAHH!!\r Thank you King!!!! King Cleaners has been the answer to all my needs for the past year or so. They pick up and deliver my dry clean every time I needed and return them as perfect as it can be, I travel frequently and I need my cleaning done on a rush must of the time, but last week while traveling I had to extend my stay and I needed my tux and few other garments that where at King Cleaners, so I call them and explained my need for the tux etc. before I could say more the manager asked me for the address of the hotel I was, and my tux was there next day! I thought they where great before but they surprise me with their service and professionalism every time .\r I have never seen a more clean and friendly dry cleaners ever and trust me I have seen my share, if you looking for great job, convenience, friendly service don't take my word for it try it for yourself! Not only is this place expensive, but a few of the service people that answer the phone are rude. Rude enough for me to feel the need to create an account on citysearch and spend the time to write this review. I've had two bad encounters with them now and that's two too many. It makes me angry when I drop $200 on dry cleaning and landry each time and they still don't get it. In addition, one person on the phone will tell me one thing and another person will tell me something else?!? Please, someone get the story straight so customers aren't misled. I guess they are one of those businesses that thinks they have too many customers and they don't need anymore. If you are the owner and you are reading this, I want you to know that I think it is unfortunate because the people that actually do the cleaning do a good job - the clothes come out looking nice. In addition, the gentleman that delivers the clothes is very nice. In fact, you should have him in charge of answering the phones instead of the people that you currently have doing the job.
