I have been coming to the Center for 5+ years and have always been treated with the utmost care and professionalism by Jeffrey & his staff. Everyone puts you at ease and you know that you are in the best hands. I cannot say enough good things about the Center and of course highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who are particularly nervous about seeing the dentist. more

Incredible Artisan 5/22/2011

Dr. Dorfman is an incredibly talented and skillful dentist. The cosmetic work is truly artful and inconspicuous. There is usually no waiting time or minimal waiting time, because they do not overbook. The staff is great and the other dentists at the center (e.g., Dr. Joe) are very, very good. I've been going to the center for eight years and each visit has been fruitful. The location is great, as well. It is on Madison near St. Patrick's Cathedral and also near Rockefeller Center. more

Wonderful Experience! 5/12/2011

I have been to Dr. Dorfman?s office for several procedures over the past couple of years and each visit was better than the last. Dr. Dorfman and his staff are knowledgeable, accommodating and welcoming, making each visit a pleasurable experience. With such attention to detail, each procedure was quick and painless and Dr. Dorfman was more than willing to explain each procedure and discuss all of the options available to me as a patient. I cannot imagine going to another dentist after the wonderful experiences I have had at this office! more

Great dentist experience 4/18/2011

I used to go to another dentist and was always apprehensive about appointments?what would he be doing, how long would it take, would it hurt, how much was it going to cost. Switching to Dr. Dorfman?s office was the best move I could have made. He and his staff are always welcoming, always timely and always take the time to explain exactly what needs to be done in my mouth and why. He even lets me know if the work has to be done immediately or if it can wait. There are never any surprises about the bill, either, which makes it easy to plan for dental work. I?ve been going to Dr. Dorfman for several years now and I can honestly say that I am no longer nervous about sitting in a dental chair, and I always leave with a smile. more

Just finished a treatment. Disappointed, especially considering what they charged. It was like they were using a taxi meter to charge for dental service. Dr. Dorfman is all about protecting his business and making sure his profit margins are healthy, not about fixing teeth. more

Good Work, no pain in the mouth, but a little in the wallet. 1/29/2009

I'm fairly new to this dental office, but so far, I like my experience. Pros: They take a lot of time with you to get it right and make it look good. Cons: Not part of insurance, expensive (but you get what you pay for). more

Patience of a Saint 1/26/2009

I used to be a jewelry designer. So when I went in for veneers I was EXTREMELY picky as to how they would look. They had to have the perfect shape, texture, color, and relation to the overall look. I made Dr. Dorfman send back the wax models 5 times before they were perfect and the real veneers could be made. He never yelled at me, was always patient and on my side, and my teeth look perfect, more than perfect, they look exactly like I want them to. more

Fast, Smart, Efficient Dentists 1/20/2009

My title pretty much sums it up. These guys do great dental work without wasting your time. If you need a specialist, (like an oral surgeon for pulling a tooth in my case), they bring the specialist to you. No endless waiting and referrals to other offices. Helped me in a time of need. 1/14/2009

I visited NYC on a shopping trip this last season and day one, broke a filling. The concierge was nice enough to recommend me to Dr. Dorfman. He fixed the problem quickly and beautifully, and didn't hassle me about other dentistry (seeing as I'm from out of town). I recommend him highly to fellow NYC tourists, or residents of the city looking for a great dentist. Pros: Quick, Beautiful work, not a gold-digger type doctor after your wallet. Cons: He isn't located near California. more

No dentist is 5 stars, that would be a magical dentist that would fix your teeth without you ever having to come in to the office. Pros: Easy billing, talented and kind doctors, no waiting forever for appointments Cons: It can get expensive, but oh well, it's your teeth, not a luxury item. more

Best Dentist in New York 12/31/2008

Seriously. Dr. Dorfman and his staff are the best dentists in New York that I have been to. He explains everything, doesn't patronize you, acts like a person, and treats you like a friend. Though going to the dentist is noone's idea of a good time, Dr. D makes the experience painless and worthwhile. Now if I could only find a good mechanic I'd be set! more

I went to the Center for Special Dentistry last month to see about changing my smile. I work on broadway, and though my teeth are fine for being on stage, in headshots I had pumpkin teeth. Pros: Great Doctors, Amazing Work, cool staff, and fast service - no time wasting here Cons: no real cons more

Beautiful Offices, Friendly Staff, Intelligent Care 12/16/2008

I recently went to Dr. Jeffrey Dorfman at The Center for Special Dentistry. The office is on 49th and Madison, the address posted here is outdated. Pros: Great Office, Beautiful Dentistry, no surprise bills, Dentists that work WITH you Cons: a little expensive, but worth it more
