I have seen three productions at Axis Theatre now and I can report that the production quality is first rate, the space is incredible, and the artistry is unique. Though the experimental aspects of the original productions are challenging, I think the Axis Company is on to something. I look forward to the next installment of Hospital (a quirky serial that returns annually) and hope the company will again mount something like Crave, which, though not an Axis original, was interpreted brilliantly by director Randy Sharp. He is a talent that more New Yorkers need to experience.
