Hello All, I am not one to write to this type of forum but I feel strongly enought to share my experience with Whatcom Sound. Where to start... DONT HIRE THEM! The first thing that should have tipped me off was the fact that the company wanted money up front with no sort of contract... correct me if I am wrong but usually you will give the company money after or during the contract has been signed. Not in this case, they refused to send a contract unless they had a deposit ($500 of which the total became 1400) Moving along from that... My wife and I spent a long amount of time trying to put together a playlist which partially was played, most songs were simply left out. We brought a homemade dvd to play during the reception and for some unknown reason the dj could not get the sound to play... You are a dj are you not suppose to be in charge of the sound. The dj we had was all of 18 years old (I later found out that Whatcom Sound spread themselves too thin whith their bookings that the had to hire this kid), he then proceeded to repeat throught the night. Lastly the Owner of the company was completely unaccomodating when we asked for a portion of the money back. I know the whole wedding thing is a scam... luckely enough this did not ruin the wedding but in no shape or form was it worth the money. Beware, its hard to put your trust in something that you can physically purchase like a DJ but this is not the one for you. Pros: they showed up? Cons: substandard quality and performance
