Review content:
We live in the neighborhood and VDR is our favorite -- we can't get enough. We keep saying ""We should really try a new place..."" but once you get a taste of it it's all you're in the mood for. We love it. I get the same dish every single time. The food is basic, it's good, it's traditional. Nothing fancy about it -- which is great. The servers always look like they're having a great time, which adds to the fun, loud (but not too loud!!) atmosphere. Whenenver we have guests visit from out of town we take them to VDR. It's a classic Philadelphia restaurant.
Pros: Excellent sauce!!! Servers and bartenders are super friendly
Cons: The host/owner might want to work on his charm! He's not the friendliest...
