Absolutely the WORST experience at a vet clinic I've ever had in the 50 years I've owned, been responsible and bred dogs. I brought in my dog who wasn't in active labor, just having contractions. She was first seen by a vet at 8p, I called again about midnight and was told to continue to watch her and then I brought her in again at 3a because I was concerned I couldn't feel movement, the same vet saw her who was now on duty by herself and not long out of vet school. She did some of the right things, listening to heart rates, (quite high suggesting they were in stress), took an xray and found so many puppies they couldn't be accurately counted. I'd already been told by another vet she might need a c-section. This vet, when I asked, snapped at me with cost and listed reasons why she shouldn't have a c-section. She was given calcium gluconate and then oxytocin, absolutely the wrong drug I found out after talking to her breeder who is a vet and also a vet for breeders for 40 years, and a vet tech who has worked in emergency clinics owns the sire. Many missteps along the way. When the second vet came on duty, she came in and introduced herself as ""Jane"" and told me that it would be a miracle if any of the puppies she had left to deliver were alive, one was and another they should have been able to recessitate him. She didn't suggest a c-section until after my bitched delivered 8 puppies, 5 alive, 3 dead. She delivered one more dead puppy and then they did the c-section after more oxytocin. I was told it was my bitch's fault for having so many puppies and my fault for breeding her, saying she was too old, she's 5 yo. This wasn't a breeding done on the spur of the moment, accidently or without a lot of consideration and consulting with her breeder, a veterinarian. This is the very LAST place to take any pet with a serious problem. They lack integrity all lthe way around. I would give them a -10 star rating if such a thing existed. I ended up here because the first clinic I went to was busy and sent me to this one because it was close. It ended up costing me over $10,000 with the loss of 5 out of 10 puppies and the clinic's bill plus the trama and stress my dog sustained and total lack of support from a vet staff that was more worried in covering their asses. I've been to this clinic years ago but found out later it had been sold several years ago. Please, seek out any of a number of other emergency vet clinics in the area, you can't do worse than this one. more
