Based on the other reviews, I guess I'm not the only one. I was just there tonight . . . and I got booted from my seat!!! I literally had the seat taken out from under me and made to stand!! I went there to listen to the live music, thought I was having a good time, bought 4 drinks and tipped well. Then, all of a sudden 2 big bouncers come over. One demands my chair. The other one makes me pick up my stuff from the floor. HOW RUDE!!! Yeah, I was having a good time enjoying the music for awhile, but that was it for me. I left immediately. Good bye! more

Great drink prices and even better karaoke! Was extremely entertained by the singers and could afford to get some liquid courage myself! I went there for the Jets playoff game and Tuesday for karaoke! Such a blast! more

Well, i have been there a couple of time be recently this place really disappointed me. First, I'd like to say that I take shower twice a day, wear clean clothes, and I spray deodorant.. haha. So i've been there last week wed. Me and my buddy are visiting NYC and happened to find that place by chances. we came back on thursday night, at some point, around 1am or so. I went to the bar ordering a drink. The waiter, the slightly fatty one with dark hair told me something like "you smell really bad, you gonna have to spray or leave"... I was like "Is this some kind of joke"? and thought the guy was kidding. I remained nice and eventually i took that damn spray and said "haha... well this is awkward but... anyway" I went back and ask my friend to be honest and tell me whether i stink or not. He laughed and thought i was kidding him. 10 minutes later, the black shoulder long dread bouncer came and told me there were some complaint and I would have to leave once i would have finished my drink. He was cool, though. I tried to go "negociate" with the waiter the time i was finishing my drink but obviously he didnt even want to talk to me and ask the bouncer to get me. I ended up speaking to the bouncer who asked me to speak to what i assumed was his manager. The 2nd bouncer was surprised, laughted, smelled me, and eventually told his buddy "whatever its fine" I heard like 2 guys saying "...and he told me i smelled bad..." that night. I think the bartender has really a big damn problem. Its not a joke, the next day, I was happy to spend my bucks in a place where i dont stink. 3 times I've been to wicked willy's. And three times on different occassions the bouncers have been complete asses! This is a personal expierence; okay I admit I look young so I understand the extra caution, but when a person brings along a second i.d. mind you it was my old 21 and under i.d. to a bar + my new 21 and over i.d. there should be no problem comparing and lookign at the name and the bod and the address to say this is a legit i.d.! But wicked willy's has yet to amaze me and there stupidity to allow me to enter. Even with a credit card a 3rd form of i.d. with my name on it they refused to let me in. And not to mention the rude remarks by the bouncers was very unecessary. The same expierence happened to two of my friends, but on different occassions. As soon as you walk into the bar, the bouncers treat you like shit. I walked into the bar, and the bouncers looked at me and assume that I was snorting coke in the restroom. Thank God I never used drugs in my life. but i can tell you this, they made an ass off themselves, and I will never recomend my friends to go to that low class bar. I was in here last week and the place was great. Karaoke and beer pong were going all night. What more can you ask for a bar. This place is certainly one of my favorite places to grab drinks with co-workers after work. The happy hour is great and very affordable. Pros: Karaoke and beer pong Cons: none more

If you're looking to relive the glory days of trashy dive bars and beer pong then this place is for you. If you like good drinks and an enjoyable atmosphere then look elsewhere. This is my favorite new find in NYC!!! I have never written a review on Citysearch until now but this place was just too much fun not to tell everyone about it. I was walking down Bleecker with two friends trying to waste some time before going to a party, and they heard "live music and $7 pitchers" from the host at the door. We went in and were blown away by the live band they had playing. The whole atmosphere was very laid-back and fun (not to mention the awesome pirate-themed decor). Parties were mixing, everyone was talking to each other, just good vibes all around. I cannot wait to go back for more good music and good drinks! SERIOUSLY, GO HERE! I've been goin here for only about 4 months now and it seems as if I've been coming here 4 eva...There ahs neva been a boring time at Wicked Willy's...Besides, when it comes to karoake nite, I'm known for keeping the spark goin there...Ladies are nice, everyone enjoys themselves...and the DJs [like Tyler] always know how to keep the place rockin'...U might just c me there 2-nite...me and my boy usually des r-n-b classics like the temptations and stuff...we always have a good time!!!ALWAYS!!! more

Wicked Willy's is a great location for inexpensive drinks with friends and great music. Whiskey Bravo is a hard rock band deeply influenced by modern life, and the drastic global climate. The heavy hitting riffs, and progressions, reminiscent of super bands like motor head, and deep purple, fuel the agitated, forewarning, lyrical content found in Dillon's work, coupled to a sincere heartfelt rage against the machine. more

I reserved the front room for my 25th birthday party and that was easy enough. A friend brought cupcakes which they had no problem keeping in the fridge. The music was awesome, the space was chill and the party was a ridiculous good time. The area i had was 110% under control by everyone there, only letting in my party. The place got packed and we were all comfortable in our plush seats and we had our personal server. Stacey (mngr) was very attentive as well as the doorman (Randy) and bouncer for the front room AND Andy! I'd been here before and I'll definitely be back for another party! All my guests were happy and had a great time, no complaints. If you're organized and can manage to preplan your party it'll be well worth the effort! Pros: private rooms available to reserve more
