Food was good, but the packaging was horrible. The food was coming out of the plate in the bag. Do not know if I will order from them again.

Variety of Delicious Cuisines 3/29/2009

The food here is incredible. There are so many different ethnic dishes to try from, you can eat here almost everyday. I have been going to this location of 1st Ave since they opened a year or so ago, and am always very happy with the food and service. I read the review last night regarding thier special $10.00 OFF dine in promotion and went there to check it out for myself. And YES, it's true, I couldnt belive it, I spent over $25.00 on my check and they actually deducted $10.00 for the promotion. They have a new discount program if you dine in. Get this, if you spend $25.00 or more, they are taking $10.00 OFF your bill. thats almost a 50% savings!!!!!!! I don't know how long this promotion is going to last, but as a Pita Grill fan for many years now, I will be eating there at least 2/3 times a week now. There's not one upscale casual gourmet restaurant that does food any better 3/6/2009

This place is a real gem. People who are in the know have been going to this place for years. The food is delicious, healthy and affordable. What more can anyone want. My favorite dish is the "" Anil Gupta's Tandoori Chicken"" WOW is what you;ll say after eating a platter of this stuff, and it only costs around $12.50. I also love the Panini's which i usually order for lunch. Pros: Delicous high quality food that won't break the bank more

The Best Fish Tacos in New York City 3/5/2009

My favorite dish at this healthy eatery is the Blackened Tilapia Fish Taco's with the Avocado spread, diced tomatos, fresh cilantro and some other incredible fresh herbs and spices. . It also comes with Grilled Mexican Corn on the Cob that's really tasty with a kick. I have to admit, I am addicted to this place. Their food is outstanding and eclectic that I usually order from them at least 2 times a week and never get bored with the selection Pros: Huge Thumbs Up for this healthy eatery more

Upper East Side Favorite 2/27/2009

I have been going to the Pita Grill since I moved up here 3 years ago, I love the food and staff. They treat me like gold and always do the right thing. My favorite dishes are the Tandoori Chicken Platter, The Pita Grilled Salad and the Chicken Rice Bowl. Pros: Fresh healthy food with a great staff !! more

These guys know how to run a great restaurant and operation. Their food is great and they do whatever it takes to make you happy. What more can anyone ask for. Best Food for your Money 2/26/2009

after reading all the reviews, i decided to try this place with my girlfriend, and I have to say how impressed I was with the quality, tatste and price of the food, I had the Tandoori Chicken platter, which was amazing, and only for 12.50, no where in the city can you get this kind of food at these prices. My girlfriend had the large Pita Grilled Salad which also was outstanding. Five thumbs up. We will definitiely be going back again Pros: Excellent Food and very affordable prices more

Just tried their new Brown Bag Lunch special, and got the Pita Grilled Salad wrap with fries and diet coke for $7.95. Same great food, just now at a new amazing low price. But its for lunch only, so don't try to order it during dinner. Pros: New Brown Bag Lunch Special is Best Deal in Town more

Thiers not a better place in the city for top quality food at these prices 2/9/2009

I am a new customer of the Pita Grill. After reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try, and WOW, was I impressed with the food and service. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Platter. Believe me fellow readers, to have this platter for dinner for approx 12.50, you would have to go and pay 2 or 3 times the price in a traditional upscale restaurant. Don't take my word on it, try it yourself like I did, and you'll know why this place has been in business for over 13 years. What a great find !!!!! Perfect Place to take the family 2/5/2009

I have read the reviews and glad I decided to give Pita Grill a try. The atmosphere is nice, clean and simple. The food is outstanding, delicious, fresh and the price for the quality of food they serve cannot be beaten. There are enough dishes to choose from for the whole family. We now make it part of our weekly routine to have dinner out at the Pita Grill. On top of that, the staff is great and always go out of there way to make me and my family happy. more

I have been ordering Pita Grill for my office staff since the beginning of 2005. There food is wonderful, Huge variety of different ethnic infusion of dishes and taste profiles. Their products are all made fresh everyday. They have been truly accomodating to all our needs since the day we started.
